					| As title says. I got an emulator that works with mounted disks so going on a spree for anything decent to play. Hit me up with Action and RPG's. | |

					| IMHO with a PS1 you cannot NOT play (or at least try):
- some Final Fantasy games (personally 6 and 7 would be my choice)
 - Parasite Eve (at least the first one, there are 2 of them), i greatly greatly but greatly (did i say greatly ?) appreciated have a lot of fun with it
 - Soulblade (a fantastic beat em up !)
 - some Resident Evil games (i liked much the 2nd)
 - Final Fantasy Tactics
 - uhm it was already told by Surray
 - Final Fantasy Tactics
 - did i say Final Fantasy Tactics ???
 - i was almost forgetting Final Fantasy Tactics

These are the best ones IMO, adding to the ones posted by Surray.

You'll need quite a bit of extra time to play all this stuff friend

And ... stay tuned for the incoming PS2 emulator

Things seemed so bad even for the ps1 emulator, relatively speaking ... however, pcsx2 reports tell of a much way better performance, a good amount of games should run on that configuration at a playable speed ... i'm just waiting the incoming next update to try out myself ...

Yes of course i could easily buy the "real" consoles and not having to get crazy with all of this but ... my wife will shoot at me between the legs if i bring another piece of hardware inside our house

ya it's being worked on but there is a writers block lol, one of the programmers said to fully emulate the PS2 the right way you'd need a 5GHZ cpu

					| Bushido Blade 1 and 2
Castlevania - Symphony of the Night ( a must play )
Chrono Cross ( if you like rpgs, this is your top pick on psx )
 Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3
 Medievil 1 and 2
 Power Shovel
Resident Evil 2 - Dual Shock Edition
 Resident Evil 3 - Nemesis
Tobal No. 2 ( kick ass fighting game with a 'dungeon crawl' mode )

If I had to pick one from this small list I would go with Tobal. Not many people know about this game it seems, but it's one of the best fighting games i played, ever. Super smooth animations and a very robust fighting system.

					| I enjoyed Tobal. Didn't people buy it mostly for a demo of FF7, or was that a different game?
There was quite a few different 3d fighting games around at the time like Toshinden/Star Gladiator etc.

					| All I remember was that I played Tobal No.1 on the psx, and it was just great. Looked and waited for Tobal No.2 forever, but didn't get to play it on the console since it never made it to US. There is Tobal No.2 with english translation which is fully playable.
I forgot to mention Vagrant Story from SquareSoft ( Akihiko Yoshida and Yasumi Matsuno, the designers behind FF Tactics). Another game that didn't make big headlines, but is just as good as FF7 or Chrono Cross)

btw. I still got Star Gladiator moves etched in my memory. GG.

Oh well let's hope something less friend
I'll be satisfied being able to reach playable speeds with my e6600/nv7950 lowering a bit or even 2 bits the detail level ... otherwise i'll just keep waiting for future versions and/or the next pc upgrade

BTW ... did i tell u to try out Final Fantasy Tactics ???

					| i didnt think the original ps had more than 3 or 4 good games during its lifespan... as it was, i didnt find ff7 completely boring, though definately overhyped... its worth playing just for the cut scene where
  	  | Spoiler: | |
that stupid ugly annoying bitch gets pig-stuck by the long haired gimp... man, that was such a great bit because she was such a horrible character, and it was such a relief to see her get what she had coming... no other character in any game has ever annoyed me more, so i gave a small cheer when it happened...
 |
but you should probably stop playing at that point.. its easily the high point of the game, and the ending fight is a huge letdown... i dont think any game ive EVER played since tron 2.0, has had such an insanely fucking easy end boss fight... seriously, what a fucking sissy that long haired git was. parasite eve was pretty decent as well, and yeah i have a friend who keeps harassing me to play xenogears, he highly recommended that one for me... and if its good enough for me, then its good enough for you
