like the subject says, whats a good choice for a video editing program... like where you can load lots of different music, video, sound files, just drag and drop them onto seperate layers, use transition and other effects, and view the result in real time, then compile it all when your done...
ages back i used an early version of adobe premiere, and i loved it, but didnt really like the later version of premiere that i tried, so kinda gave up on the program... is there any good recommendations you guys can make, or has premiere become a good program again?

Premiere/After Effects is the only program on PC that combines ease of use with power to the extent I like.
But you could try Vegas Studio, I hear some people like that.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

The PC is garbage for video editing. You need to have a 2000$ PC and even then you still can't do realtime viewing in Premiere.... If you wanna seriously do any editing you're going to want a Mac with Final Cut. But Premiere is def the best on PC.

If he has to ask what good programs for video programs are he's obviously not a professional so he doesn't need the hardcore stuff.

I tried Sony Vegas, and it looked very good... very complicated, but does the job
