Anyone know what to do about the missing DLL's? My CSS complains about 'vstdlib.dll' was not found :/

you just need to register a new Steam account that has no games on it. and use that accounts login info and place it innside the SteamApp.cfg.
now for my question: Does anyone else have that problem where the resolution is not high? I set it to 1280x1024 and still it looks like 1024x786, I can't seem to get it higher. any solution?

can anyone pls help me, i cant make it work, i dont know where to put the 3 files? is in the root folder of CSS?, i put them there but nothing works, if i close steam an error message pops up. thanks!.

ok here goes my setup........
extract the whole FINAL release into a folder called css. i.e C:\css there should be a folder called CRACK. cut these files and paste in the c:\css folder. click overwrite yes to all.
now right click hl2.exe and click create shortcut. on the createdshortcut type.....
-steam -console -game cstrike -dev (will look like C:\css\hl2.exe -steam -console -game cstrike -dev maybe with " 's)
Now its probably better if you test this to see if it works. if it does carry on.
go to www.steampowered.com download the 600kb install and create a new account. it doesnt matter about the details as long as u can remember the pass and username.
now extract the ONLINEPLAy rar into c:\css. and again cut and paste the files (this time in the files folder) into the css root folder. now there should be a steamapp.cfg right click>open with... notepad
type this in
SteamAppId=92
#SteamAppVersionId=0
SteamInstallPath="C:\css"
SteamAppUser=nforce
SteamUserPassphrase="r0x"
(of course with your details  )
click the shortcut again and a command box should open and the console again. if you dont see a command box verification will fail. (make sure u exit steam too)
1 final note. DO NOT RENAME/DELETE Steam.dll from the online play crack. leave that as it is. but for the first test u may need to change it i cant quite remember if this is needed

Its, on my PC "E:\Program Files\CS Source\hl2.exe" -steam -console -game cstrike
The commands you add must be after the " and not inside cause the " show the path
and thanks for the step by step...might be really usefull to people

hi...
i can't get the bots into game 
i did the console thing bot_add but there are no bots when i play a map... do i have to press any key to insert them when already started the map?
i never played CS before so i dunno
pleeze any1 help

Sublime I did all you said and once I run the shortcut it still gives me this error.
"SteamStartup(0xf,0x12e308) failed with error 108: The local Steam service is not runnimg"

yea im gettin sub par frames then i am getting, i set everything to recommended and i get no lower than 15 to 20 fps in cetian areas. Everything high 1024 by 980

To add bots the command is bot_add_ct and bot_add_t. Those commands work for me, but like the one guy said the bots are as dumb as a box of rocks.
