It really doesnt matter where you worked because i know many people who work with computers and dont know shit about them. Its like they say "Hey its a job i need to make a living". I thought you meant mean by nvidia fan boy.My mistake.

I upgraded from 6800 ultra to 8800 gtx 2 months after it was released. I did it because it pwned in DX9c and i needed new card for high res playing. 8800 does give best preformance for its price. You should check little bit about it. 8800 with 640 mb vram was to close with price and 8800 with 320 vram is crap.

A 1950xt costs little money but its still a good card and as you put it games still run great on it, ffs i have a cheap 7600gt atm and it still runs all games fine.
Then you wrote "i hope next gen of hardware will be much more energy efficient with much more simpler architecture becuse the more complex the card is the harder is to utilize that power" after that "New revolution in gfx chips will be multi core which will be here soon". Multi cores are more complex but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be less energy efficient. I don't know why you think that multi cores are the future anyway, look at what an epic failure the GX2 was. Though it is being reported that the next ATI card due out next year is multi core, you never know i guess.
Also ATI drivers may have been developed 6 months before they hit the market, but they didn't have a years worth of customer feedback that nvidia had to start perfecting theirs.
Bah over this i'm off to sleep. |
Youre lack of logic is unreal. You cant compare 1950 with 8800 because its different generaion of cards. My point was that there is no need to change card if you have 1950 because there is crap to play on pc and games that are good run nice on it.Second thing 7950 gx2 isnt multi core. Its two cards connected to one. So its like sli. I was talking about Multi-Core GPUs not 2 cards connected. Core 2 duo and Core 2 quad use less energy then pentium 4 on 3ghz. Cores are not responsible for power usage of card/cpu its how the card is made.Third thing ati made card, was developing drivers for it for 6 months and didnt think about testing them in games? Righttttttttttttt.......... Its more like omg this card is crap, make drivers that make games run at great speed but with low pq. You will see that when they release new card they will drop support for 2900 series. This is the worst card ati has ever made and i hope for all of oure sakes it wont happen again.

Waiting for new DX 10.1 card and thinking it will do/look/play anything diffrent is stupid. You will see new DX every 6-9 monthes and thats a fact. Its because stupid people will think omg its like 10 times bettar when in fact it will be same crap with little changes to make stupid people buy new cards.Same was with dx9. Only DX9c brought something new and worth investing money in new card. Other thing is what games need so much power on pc? I only see crap games with shiity gfx or bad coding that wont run good on 10888gtx. When good game comes out it still runs good/great on 1950xt (old and cheap card). As for good or bad points in ati/nvidia... -Ati- Flawed design in hardware stated from when card was shown for the first time, needs much more power, useses 8 pin connector for power which most psu-s dont have, good point is price but its because of all flaws(only fool can think that something good costes little money) -Nvidia- crap dirivers, hard to do good drivers everything else is on nvidia-s side. You can correct me if i am wrong but i dont think so since i make my living of hardware. Like i said i hope next gen of hardware will be much more energy efficient with much more simpler architecture becuse the more complex the card is the harder is to utilize that power. New revolution in gfx chips will be multi core which will be here soon. Until then i dont see reason for people with 8800 or 2900 to upgrade. Btw ati started making drivers 6 monthes before card went to sale. They had final product ready but had massive problems in factory to make a fully working chip. |

I agree that "Waiting for new DX 10.1 card and thinking it will do/look/play anything diffrent is stupid" but so was buying a dx10 card when they first came out a year ago with no dx10 capable games released. At least by waiting a year for some decent games to hit the market i can get the upper hand by buying a better card which is being hyped to be more than 3 times faster than the 8800 (not that i believe the hype). It's not like i heard the words directx10.1 and immediately want to buy it because a new version sounds better, i'm obviously going to wait and see if it's any good first. Plus i'll be upgrading toward the end of the year anyway so that's the reason i'll probly buy a new top line card (depending on how good they are of course).

lol ive been working as a it technical engineer for 9 years and never rampled on as much as you just did to put it bluntly you get what you pay for same applys in hardware allways have, back when the 8800 came out nvidias launch vid had videos of the gtx playing many games and alot of people bought it from the hype it had and the fact at the launch party crytek openly said crysis was running at this show maxed out on the 8800gtx and would in dx10 BY THE TIME THE GAME CAME OUT!!
but as you said noone really bought it for dx10 performance since it was all hype and just what dev were saying and nvidia, i personaly only got one cos i wanted to run all games at 1680x1050 maxed out with full aa and af and was happy with that and running bioshock and wic at the same rez was just a plus in dx10

you can install it with a trick without the key, but you still need a key for activation with ea though

Screen shots of the beta don't look impressive.

In other words, you can install it, but you can't play it? Is that really considered a "leak"? Especially considering anyone can download it anyway?

Is there a LAN mode in the beta that doesnt require you to connect to the EA servers?

source? |
Downloaded it from a site, use't the key above , installd, start the game, it ask u to activate, did not work and u get a option to do it manually.
To get around this u can use the file from the bioshock crack like this:
Quote: | DOWNLOAD THE CRACK OF BIOSHOCK, TAKE PAUL.DLL, RENAME IT IN PR.DLL, BACKUP THE ORIGNAL PR.DLL IN YOUR BIN32 REPERTORY, AND COPY THE BIOSHOCK PR.DLL, AND JUST REPLACE IT. |
oh, but then it sak for beta dvd

Registering to see the hidden lines reveals that it's a method for installing the game.
The provided "crack" only bypasses the installation as it also requires a serial but it won't allow you to run the game.
(Says something about fileplanet and that new keys should be available soon, translated the text with google and it's not really a good translation.)
EDIT: There's also some new information regarding the beta on this site.
(It's a explanation from the Crytek developers.)
