It's not so bad game. Typical console shit, but I didn't expect something different.
I'll try it via the scene, don't think it worth buying this one.

Yea it works. Finally a better resolution. But the textures etc. still look shitty. I guess its all at medium detail.

Yeah, damn time zones! Twisted Evil
But still, time doesn't matter when is in the net we'll have it (already had) Very Happy
I dunno, maybe the game isn't that bad, I'll wait for the full version, when some options are available, and some more levels, it'll not kill me if I play it a little for the good old time like - Max Payne. But this time in new shiny shell with some other character...

"Of course there’s plenty in the retail game that’s different from the demo. This is just a demo, after all. In the full game the Tequila Bombs are awarded over the first three levels, your progress is saved (duh), and there’s multiplayer. Also in the full-game you can remap your controls, set your resolution, tweak the visual settings, etc. "

Problems fixed in full game. Spykez, seriously, give it a shot when the full comes out. You didn't play it enough if you didn't keep it long enough to use setx and sety..

Yea I checked in my game magazine and it also says that in the final version everything can be tweaked. So I just hope the texture detail/quality of the demo doesn't represent the full versions highest setting. Otherwise its a great game, the destruction is just awesome. It might get repetetive after a while but its definitely going to be great fun. Smile

Nice game. Smile Very similar to Max Payne, which definitely is a good thing!
Will get the full version when it's out.

then whats the point of releasing a buggy demo - to show boring gameplay ?

its not a buggy demo, first i didnt see any bug, second the demo was made this way by the devs... of course if you want to change res, and controls and shit, you need to buy the full version or download it Wink

Well, being midway it Could be StarForce 4, but I scanned the demo exe and it found no protection! Which can only be a good sign, I think the last Midway game released was SF4 so this one may have it aswell

Demo doesnt allow options to be changed, but IGN confirmed in full game both Video Settings and control binding can be set in the full version of the game

There's this strange contradiction in most demo's, stating "that the demo does not represent the quality of the full game". I thought that was the point of a demo? Hopefully the full game will have "the quality of a full game" Smile

Maybe the exe will work in the retail release to "crack" it since it's called Retail-Stranglehold.exe.

Anyway, i thought it was a nice game, but the story seems to suck when you played Max Payne 1 or 2 and the atmosphere too.

Max Payne 2 was definitly better for its time, but still this is NOT a bad game IMO.

full should be out soon dammit... unless the 18th comes by and 'oh, sorry, were postponing the release again because the games not QUITE done yet... sorry... should be out on the 25th of november...'

ive stopped really paying attention to the info from the game, but it HAS allready been publically stated the games gone gold, right?

I'm pretty sure it's gold because the demo is using RETAIL-Stranglehold.exe.

A bit too obvious if you ask me

Just played it on a HDTV to try it on a big screen (and of course changed the resolution) and it was even funnier.

I didn't expect anything better anyway.
