Anything electric does the job. Electric bucks on a shotgun and it's super easy. Also all armor piercing ammo, even the pistols ones do a lot of damage. Remember to move! Sidestep out of trouble, hit with electric plasmid to stop him and then shoot some.
If you run low on plasmids get that eve-link or what it was, that gives you some even on every heal. Hacking has the same effect in one gene tonic, had them both and hacked everything always, so plenty electro bolts to shoot out to daddies.
Just remember to combine attach and search every ash tray, splicer & stuff, if you are low on ammo/money. Hack vending machines and buy lower weapon ammo first. Those heavy weapons ammos are expensive, also anti personal and armor piercing ammo much more than regular one.

My Big Daddy strategy (not mine literally, but one I've used to "great success!")
Once you get the security plasmid (in the Fisheries I think), hack something and run the pipe to the security alarm box, then huck the security plasmid at the Daddy. Later on grab, your Camera and get snapping!
Works amazingly well if there's a lot of splicers in the area you can Enrage.

big daddies are easy as soon as you get that chameleon plasmid, then its just "shoot --> run --> hide --> wait a bit and go on when ever you want again..." or even better that rocket/mine/grenade-launcher just gets them into a pile of rubish when ever you like, that is ofc if you safe your ammo for that gun only for the daddies..
Got one little question tho, is there anyone that had one or more moments ever in the game where they thought ; "damm, I am getting low on ammo....."?

This game shouldn't be played on any difficulty other then hard. You sometimes run out of ammo for your favorite gun then.

um, a question here. In the level before you enter the submarine to rescue the familly (the map when you receive the camera and fight in giant fridge)
on the opitons screen there are 3 little sisters listed ... And i've encountered 4 of them. Even after, a message pops, saying that i've not harvested/rescued all of them....how many of them are there, or it's bugged?

Finished the game yesterday, saved all little sisters.
Was a bit dissapointed with the ending/boss 
 Spoiler: | The "becomming the Big Daddy" doesnt add anything, when i have saved all the little sisters, why cant they help me open the doors? Why do it have to be infected ones? Infact the whole last level, before the Fontaine boss fight, doesnt feel the same as the rest of the game. The level feels like it was already done, but that they didnt excactly know when/where to use it.
And after you beat Fontaine, you go topside with the big daddy voice thingy still in your throat?
To me it looked like they worked out the boss already before they decided to dispose of the nazi experiments setting. Fontaine looked like some sort of super soldier/nazi to me (when you keep the nazi setting they want to do first in the back of your head).

All in all i liked the game, great atmosphere, fights, etc. But the ending to me looks a bit rushed or not worked out enough. Well the good ending anyways.
Im not going to play trough it again to see the bad ending. Maybe some other time when i feel like it.

Just finished this game with the "bad" ending. The game itself was really great, but the last boss plain sucked.
Why?
| Spoiler: | All you had to do was damage him 3 times and then drain his ADAM.
After all the great things this game implemented, I thought there was a bit more to do...
They could have included some terminals that you needed to hack, or at least one "stage" with weapons or plasmids only.
But just including some security robots and splicers didn't do really much, as the boss himself killed most of them somehow...
I will play this again to get the "good" ending, but I really hope that someone makes a mod or new level to fix this... |

Heh seems like no one gives a crap about the game anymore, guess all the hype died. I played the game twice, and i dont feel like playing it again for a long time. I knew it was a SP only game when i bought it (i usually buy SP only games, or games that are SP only that are very modable, eg GTA), but now it seems like those fuckers wont release the editor, i feel like money wasted since my copy is gathering dust.

it died cause kevin is a sell out piece of shit. He announed the mods kit for the game after when 2K took over irrational they turned around and said no kit. So no mods for the game making it utterly useless after you beat it a couple times. |

If a game is a good single player experience that lasts a fair amount of time I would be totally satisfied with a purchase. You people expect too much. If your pennies are that precious maybe you should be spending them on something other then games, it's not as if time spent on them is constructive.
