Installation Notice:
Stranglehold requires 50GB of free hard disk space during the installation process but, once installed, the setup files can be removed or stored elsewhere. If installing Stranglehold to a secondary drive, your system's primary drive requires 20GB of free hard disk space during the installation process.

I hope you are joking or this is not realy required because my C drive only has 20Gb and 8gb free dammit Evil or Very Mad

Can anyone confirm this?

during install files probably get unpack and then put in the right spot and there for the install need a buffet, that plus u need to have the install files on you're ha during install.

i call bullshit.

but you will ofcourse need atleast 20gb space (dl 12gb , unpack dvd1, delete rars dvd1, unpack dvd2, delete rars dvd2).

installer said game needs 12xxx MB. source harddrive had 4gigs free after having both unpacked and the rars deleted, same goes for target hdd ... 12xxx needed 16xxx free.

and installing fine. only unpacking did take a shitload of time, what did they do compress it on max? if so thats a waste of time because its packed 9 MB!! smaller on 6,xx gb iso than uncompressed ...

edit:

install complete, worked fine.

therefore the maximum space needed would be three times the download size if you DONT delete the rars after unpacking. w/o rars 2*downloadsize is enough.

off to play now

sounds good but will require crack then (or will the supplied mds files even do their job with a simple .iso instead of an mdf?).

if you just download the procyon or FLT rls - yes.

if you intend to buy it in an online download-store like Direct2Drive aka Direct2Gay (c)LN - probably not.

procyon rls is somewhere between 12 and 13 gb. flt is almost the same size

I don't think your gunna get a consistant opinion base on it. People either love it or they hate it. I'd say download the demo and give it a run to see if it's worth it to you to download that much. That's a massive DL lol

id put it rather simple

you liked Max Payne? you like(d) John Woo movies [especially "Hard Boiled" or similar movies(!)]?

if you can answer both with yes you are gonna like Stranglehold.

if you can answer only one question with yes - think about it twice because of its enormous size of 12,xx gb.

if you can NOT answer even one of the questions with yes - skip it.

thats atleast how I would sum it up.

Short: "Heroic Bloodshed"-JohnWoo-movie-3rd-person-shooter on Unreal Engine 3 (good graphics but unlike MoH:A or BioShock those are not "top notch" , but still good to very good ) combined with styles of Max Payne (slomo bullettime/tequilatime) and Red Faction ( destructible environments ) ... so... decide yourself Smile

Fallout3 will be 50gb for a more intelligent PC game. Blue-Ray exclusive and a HDD buster!
