True, I could not believe some of the reviews on gamespot (from the 'sold-out' editors), but more scarily from all the 'anons' members giving it 10 out of 10 and saying it was the best RTS ever made Rolling Eyes

but hey... each to their own Twisted Evil

uhm... so every game that gets good reviews while you dont like it is an um... mass produced piece of shit with good graphics with developers/publishers that bribe reviewers?

Oblivion rocks - havent tried Halo 3.

Right, we've come to the conclusion that some of you like the game - and some of you don't. The ones who doesnt like it have told us why - so now there is no real reason for them to stick around in this thread anymore.

Well I wouldn't imagine they would or could influence every review but it would be beneficial to bribe the most frequented review sites. Gamespot is well known for 'er' getting it totally wrong.
@Anthirs, we are only having a debate, nothing wrong here. Smile

I like the game and I like to know more valid things about it - you on the other hand have done very little apart from complaining. I know atleast I under instantly what your thoughts about the game was - and I seriously doubt anyone else had any problems with it either. Your entitled to think what you want ofc - but why go on and on like a parrot? Imo what we COULD need on the other hand is a thread about all rts games where things like what you were dicussing would fit perfect. I wouldnt mind one of those myself as its quite interesting. Point is, we should stick to WiC here and skip the other 60 billion rts games.

And I personally think Oblivion rocks - sorry if you don't agree.

Pfff like i said if you dont like it dont read it. At least in this thread there are no insulting. Good that you like Oblivion. It only showes how you like shallow games. But hey everyone is different and likes different things.

yup, no point. that nakitu guy is actually the most annoying unreasonable person around here at the moment, so I guess I'll just ignore him.

anyway, back on topic.
Now that I got the single player finished, which was fun after playing only multiplayer for so long, eventhough it was extremely easy, I wanna get busy with some multiplayer again.

not sure wether I should wait for cheap keys to show up somewhere or go and buy the game for 50€.
I'm also looking forward to some mods, no telling what people will come up with.

yeah that's a great aspect of WiC.
You can always just go online and join a game and get right into the action right away.
Then you can just play for how long you want/have time.
In other RTS games you never know how long it's gonna take to complete one game. here it doesnt really matter, you can just leave whenever you feel that you have enough.

Pretty much the only logic I see coming from you is bashing other users because you somehow believe this game has zero strategic depth, aka forum trolling.

Well if you see that then you need to learn to read. We were disscusing strategy in game/s. If you wanna see bashing check world news or Sega really thread.

I bet none of you remember this one, best strategy game ever made, Lords Of Midnight. Started of on the Spectrum 48k, later on the Commodore 64, eventually migrated to the PC where it flopped bad style because the maker tried to get into 3d graphics, this game was the biz but because of the limitations of the Speccy, most of the graphical side was left to the imagination.
Now that was gaming.

Wow, the story is simply amazing. The cut scenes are so touching, it feels like watching 9.5/10 imdb rated movie. I'm mostly playing it now to reveal the story now.

Just... wow... It soo concentrates on each character it feels... WOW.

Some maps design is simply fantastic(well, all are but some stand out), and i spend most of the time playing gazing at landscapes or watching cut scenes Smile

Back to the game mechanics, the air support comes too often. You can most of the time just rape entire map with carpet bombing.

It's not possible to release a trainer from cheathappens as they are bound to your account so you risk having it disabled by providing the file to others. Smile
(Can only wait for other groups to make a similar trainer or for the file to be "unlocked" for everyone.)

Gamecopyworld does however have the "demo" (promo) version of the trainer but it's limited to only allowing instant tacticals.

Which is a bunch of shit too, give you free the one you would need the least. Should have been the 50k supply points in the promo.

Yea, it's realy nothing special about this game. Physics and graphics are the only new thing about it.
Heck, you needed more strategic thinking in campaign of Dune 2. It's just point and click, and use right special ability when its meter is full. Best strategy game ever my ass.

6.5/10 Since I'm generous.
