Well, that suprised me too. But hey, who are we to judge. One of the greatest game ever is American Civil War: The Blue and The Grey and I bet most of you wouldn't even look at it. People (and reviewers) are getting very shallow these days and are blinded by some overly flashy graphics.

Total war was so great. Man, I wish they'd bring another Shogun Total War. How I hate that Medieval crap.

American Civil War is hardcore though, those ugly Yankees give me a whoopin nearly every time. Twisted Evil

I'd leech the full though, its only twice as large as the demo and much more fun. It can be found on the piratebay for example.

RTS- Real time strategy. In total war you play battles in real time.
World in Conflict is RTA- Real time action not strategy. There is more strategy in Super mario then in this game.

While i liked Company of Heroes, which is little similar, i love this game, maybe because of these details everywhere Smile i love gfx eyecandy.

ive downloaded this fairlight release and cracked the exe's , launch wic.exe and it goes black for a few seconds then back to desktop , does it need patch or something?

my gfx card is GEFORCE 7900 GTO
driver version , 93.71 forceware

ive updated to 163.71_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_beta
and i still have the same problem , click wic.exe goes black feels like its gonna load and goes back to deskop ,

DX is changed almost every month. You need to update is aswell. Check microsoft downloads for new version.

Well maybe because the single player has fantastic cuts-scenes and this game has the best smoke and cloud effects i have seen in years , but still Act of War is way better Love those Fmv in games with Real actors and not those computer generated ones

excuse me, real time tactics not strategy.

anyways, yea i think WiC is awesome. i liked the SP, its as good as any SP Campaign (but i only played around 3 levels and jumped online).

at first, i hated the roles. but then i got more used to the units and it works for me. hopefully soon we will see more 24/7 map servers and "few player mode" for those of us who would like to actually use all the units and not just the role.

i really hope those cheats do not work online. if they do they wont for long, but to be sure i recommend playing on the official servers.

So true. The cat fell asleep on the keyboard yesterday, it was dreaming of chasing mice or something, anyway it completed and beat WIC before I woke it up for its supper. Im looking forward to Sudden Strike 3, now would you call that a RTS or RTA?

Until a game comes along with a SP as good as CoH and a MP as good and as balanced as Starcraft:Broodwar then I stick by my saying that those 2 are the only RTS worth money. And im dreading SC2 has been dumbed down for the younger generation and all the graphics whores Sad
