For those that have problems with the procyon .mds file there is a mini-image working fine over GCW.

procyon mds worked fine for me but im using the mini image now cos it only takes up 12k rather than 8gb

same here,s aved last night will try loading tonight. Boy what a game!!! Even if its just an expansion, it fills a big craving for me after I finished the original game...no other rts with the exception of wc3 has given me so much pleasure playing!!!

Ok, to shed some light into this...

I uninstalled vCOH and removed any items left that belonged to it. Than I installed OF and patched it. Starting worked ok (blocking OF from the outside internet by using Kaspersky - LAN is still possible) and I got the two new campaigns. Clicking on the old vCOH campaign, OF asked for a serial so I entered one (there is a keygen around) and then it asked me to put my vCOH disc in. I simply ignored that and clicked validate with the mds/mdf image of OF in the DTPro drive. It not even took a second and the serial and disc was accepted besides beeing the completely wrong disc Wink

Now I have the complete COH experience, all three campaigns including videos and all four armies in LAN and skirmish. Here's a pic to proof....



To conclude it, you don't even need the old vCOH disc anymore, OF already contains every content of vCOH that just need to be unlocked which is quite easy since the disc check even accepts the OF image.

On to play now. Any yes, people like Roninthecow should be banned. Jesus...

Ive read the 4 pages 6 times at least...
i just wanted to see if i have done something wrong or ive missed somekind of step...

ive installed it(2 times, patched on the last try), then went offline with internet, checked that i have mounted my mds(proc-cohof.mds) file. and Used yasu...

It promps me with a message box with two options..

$562002 No key
$604270 No Key

So i press on the first one., and it says Emulator detected!
Please deactivate virtual drive and emulation software..
Second option just crashes the game

Thx, but it didn't work. Are you kown with the following message? It's in dutch. After I mount Opposing Fronts with daemon pro, and click install the game i've got the message: (dutch) Kan toegangspunt van procedure lstrcmpiI niet vinden in DLL bestand MSDART.DLL (GameInst.exe Toegangspunt niet gevonden)

Something like: cannot find entrypoint of lstrcmpiI DLL file MSDART.DLL

Can someone help?

Yes. (put both files in the same dir as always)
Can it be a Vista problem? I always mount games. Is the easiest way.

I found the following: this is a rule from the MSDART.DLL
[C ] 549 (0x0225) 548 (0x0224) lstrcmpiI

mmm it's in the system32. I cannot make changes there.

Is OF running much worse than COH or is it just me? I mean, I do have a shitty PC (Athlon 2800+, 1,5GB DDR333, 7600GT), but COH will run with medium~low settings pretty smooth (avg. fps 45, min. fps 25) and now we have this "updated COH" which runs avg. fps 30, min. fps 8 with everything turned off/low ...Sad

I don't think they made such huge improvements over COH, or are they just thinking-->Fuc* it! We'll just add this little "tweak" and let those suckers upgrade their PC's and let us roll in those royalties from you know who. Twisted Evil

Anyone else with low-end PC's noticing this?



Maybe it's just time to go with the flow and buy me that C2D. Very Happy

If you want to invest some money in a C2D, I would recommend the E6850. Runs at 3Ghz Stock.
I will probably get it myself for Xmas.

I'm seeing pretty much the same. The problem seems to be the new effects. On maps that don't have fany weather effects, the performance is pretty much on par with vCOH but when you got a map with rain etc it gets pretty hairy. In general it looks to me as it runs a little slower though.

I'm playing on a subnotebook with NV7400Go and can play medium-high pretty well. Only those maps with rain are pretty laggy. I've not done with tweaking (defragging etc.) yet though.

I can tell you that even with a crack system the "big" maps lag somewhat with all on Ultimate Especially when you look along the map at low altitude.

That is indeed true, zooming out cures a lot of the stuttering. And even the far out is close enough. I'm just trying to figure out the brits atm, the play so different...

My problem is with procyon rls is that i CAN'T find the mds file after unrar. Same as in stranglehold rls Confused Can someone PM me plz...?
