From Bioware Forum:
"To get the old camera:
1. Go into game options
2. Click the "strategy mode" tab
3. Under "camera focus," make sure "Directly on Controlled Character" is selected. You can also tweak the camera's sensitivity as desired on this tab.
4. Click "accept."
5. In game, as one of the other posters mentioned, hit * to switch to Strategy Mode. It should say "Strategy Mode Activated" in your chat log."

If i activate the very high option of the shadow the game goes at 1fps on the open areas... If i set them to high everything is fine...
Q6600 8800GTX 2GB Ram ddr2 800mhz. Incredible that i can't run the game to max settings.

Weird I have almost the same setup and it runs fine with everything on high. What drivers are you using.

I have the same setup almost, what Nvidia display driver are you using?

I have exactly the same problem. C2D E6400@3,2Ghz, 8800 GTX, 4GB RAM, Vista Ultimate 64bit, 163.71 Forceware drivers. Dunno what's going on there.

Anyone tried playing from the start with expansion? It seams there is bug in main quest in nwn2 original. When you need to get the silver chalice. I got it but the dude says i dont have it. So i cant complete main quest. Anyone having same problem?

Yup, same here. Also some people complained about the same in their forums. No solution as of yet.

I'm testing out a possible solution, installing original game, patching it to 1.06 and then the expansion, will let you guys know.
edit: Yeah, it's working alright. So, installing original game, patching it to 1.06.973 and then installing the expansion. After loading the saved game it immediately updated my journal and the stepfather begins the conversation.

Y it works. But companions dont follow you anymore now. This must be the worst expansion i have ever seen in my life. Completely unplayable. GG

krayzjool your problem is the dialog.TLK (it should be around 17mb) if it's not then u prolly installed nwn2 and expansion pack which doesnt work as it should.
here is what u should do too get it too work ( atleast that's what i did and solved all my problems so far
- Backup everything in your NWN2-folders that you need including the NWN2-stuff in your My Documents folder (localvault, overrides, modules, haks and so on) because the MotB-uninstaller just wipes everything it can get its filthy claws on (except savegames if requested)
- Uninstall NWN2
- Install NWN2
- Patch NWN2 up to 1.06.973 by placing these files into your NWN installation folder:
nwn2_pc_english_from100788_to104860.zip
nwn2_pc_english_from104860_to104870.zip
nwn2_pc_english_from104870_to105910.zip
nwn2_pc_english_from105910_to105912.zip
nwn2_pc_english_from105912_to106972.zip
nwn2_pc_english_from106972_to106973.zip
Get them here: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Articles.Detail&id=230#english (assuming you use the english version)
Let the autoupdater run on all these files (it only patches using one of them each run) but do not update past 106973.

Obsidian has released a hotfix for the missing text problem:

If, for some reason, this doesn't work, there is a much easier workaround:
1. Install NWN2 (no need to reinstall if you already have it).
2.Run auto patcher and let it patch to 1.10.
3.Rename or delete your dialog.tlk file in the NeverwinterNights2 folder.
4.Install and run MotB.
The hotfix should fix it though, I'm just posting it in case someone has problems with the hotfix.

I tryed wizard and paladin. Paladin owns all and wizard is crap. Its unreal how spells are weak. When it actually hits it does on avarage 3 hp damage. Its boring starting over trying new classes. Ill try thief now or monk.

I tried the monk. Not sure if I did all the talents and such right the first time, so I went with the preplanned Monk the second time. Everything owned my face. My teammates on the other hand were great and killed most of everything.

im playing a level 22 human mage. she does nice damage. but i need to be careful, so she doesnt get hit that much by the enemy, as she is very weak at her defense.

just tried the paladin, picked up the axe of the bear king and was owning for a little while, but eventually I think I hit my peak. It was a boring class to play, back to the drawing board.
