I really like PGR 
one of my favorite series.
I could live without the bikes though...
the soundtracks is awesome!

I am surprised nobody has yet mentioned that Forza does'nt even have a cockpit view.
I think when you consider what PGR is doing while your playing graphically it beats Forza especially when you play with the rain effects, the framerate is rock solid also, the handling isnt sim but its not so arcadey that its silly like sega rally, the cars feel weighty and as though they are making contact with the road as do the bikes. I like most could live wihout the bikes but they dont hurt the game imo as they are fun when you get to grips with the handling.
This is certianly a AAA racing game the polish throughout is imense right from the interface to the car sound reproduction and playing on the hardest difficulty does represent a genuine challenge.
If it werent for the fact that I would have to wait 10 days I would have bought this but they forced me into piracy as they so often do.
Each to their own obviously but if your a racing game/car fan then you are missing out if you dont play this.

i enjoy cock views just wish they put more polys into them (more specifically the windscreen wipers!). also one car has a super dark windscreen, when its raining it looks like its raining oil!

Anybody else get weird graphics with this release? I can be driving along and suddenly there's strange shapes appearing in the sky, or the road starts flashing black. or you seem to get disjointed building structures blocking your view?
Popped in a few other games, and they run OK, go back to PGR4 and get the same weirdness again...

America =! USA. Canada is part of America just as much as the USA are.
About the Split Vid issue: It is not needed for the image to be iXtreme compatible. Actually, it only gives you more security on old pre-iXtreme firmwares. iXtreme "emulates" the benefits from Split Vid anyway.
If you want, you can use "Xbox Backup Creator" to convert it to a Split Vid image.
