how does 2000 people make sense, pretty much everyone on this site used it along with all the kiddies on bittorrents and irc that dl and played it.

sagboy are you kidding?
who the fk do you think is going to take the time and effort to do that? i mean jesus christ, I think they deserve the money, CS and HL were worth so much more than the measly 30 bucks if you pair for it, and I'm sure the new one will be at least decent (although I'm a bit ticked they didn't use pixel based hit system... hit boxes = skilled players less likely to win new players more likely to kill...)
anyways...
I only buy games when they deserve it... ID didn't deserve my money, doom 3 sucked, didn't even play it for more than an hour... but valve already has my money for hl and hl2 now...
sagboy first off the IRC/bit torrent/whatever else population isn't to big... next you filter out everyone who's not a gamer, then filter out people who don't play first person shooters, then filter out people like me who brought it, and of course, filter out people who don't want to play CS because they think it sucks... that leaves a pretty small number.

dunno whats wrong with u there but here were all still playing online like a charm tho it was a bitch for the last 2 hours to get a server list tho......like only 50 servers would show up but that is fixed now it seems cause again were getting like 1300+ servers ...........keep on fraggin guys .

Some of my friends wants to play LAN with CS Source EMPORIO release so i want to know if they can and how cause they use to do it a while back on WON not on STEAM.

I would not put it past valve sueing..
it would be stupidly easy to do.. as soon as u sign into steam they know who you are....

I can get into the game now, but for some reason it always says my latency is like 2000 and even if I click join game, it never does anything. It just sits there.
Any ideas?

I'm on an EDU network, but I could play CS just fine and I've never had any problem with any other online game. Even PS2 online works great.

Forget the email bit, all the games in steam install to a directory named after your e-mail, ofcourse we aint using steam the way it was meant to be so it doesn't matter.

haaaaaa! tried to run it...it said:
starting steam engine....
---engine runing-----
but few secs later i get the following error....
"couldnt find backgound image \matrials...."
any idea?
