You can do the gift thing allready if you have ep1+hl2 prior to buying orange box.
Done it today myself.

What gift thing?
So I have to buy the whole package AGAIN even tho I have EP1 + HL2 already (Valves way of telling me I screwed up buying their products. Fair enough, wont happen again) in order to get my hands on Portal & HL2 EP2?
I don't care much for TF2 because online games eat too much time, but Portal seems like a great lil game and HL2 EP2 is worth a shot as well, but this packaging deal ruins it all.

But on the other hand is great for people who havent bought any of the HL2 games (xbox360 users?). Anyway I am a PC user and I find this package a great deal for me...
P.S. Isnt there a way to sell or "gift" the products you dont need to somebody??

U don't have to buy the box, you can buy each game separately.

You can have mine if you want. |
probably fucking with me, but if you bought it, and didnt want it, id gladly take it
Karmeck wrote: | U don't have to buy the box, you can buy each game separately. |
sure, you can do that... if you dont mind essentially paying the full price of the orange box, but only getting ONE item... seriously, i think most of the things individually in the set are like $10-20 less than the full set, its rediculous

dude, i absolutely DO want it.. id appreciate it so much, ive been looking forward to tf2 since...uh.. what, the late 90's? im an old tf player, back from when it was a quake mod
do you know how to transfer the game?
more to the point, is it even possible? does each game come with an individual product code? pity because ive got a feeling, now that i look at it, i dont think valve likes transfering games or giving them to others *sniff*

Not to be a sour grape, but I only think its possible to give away hl2 and hl2: episode 1. The other games in the orange box are, as far as I know, not possible to give away.
Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

Meh if you are looking forward to the game, its not that big of a deal. I also agree that pre-loading is going slower than usually for me.

ive never had such slow speeds with steam before though, when im in the mood to play hl2 i just install steam and download hl2 which so far every time has maxed out my connection...i guess lots of people are pre loading
