New Characters
It's unbelievable how much they improved the graphics. It looks like a totally new engine.
Textures are very detailed, bump maps are added, dynamic shadows (lighting?), motion blur.
It's just superb.
I'll have to go now, when I'm back I'll continue, and then I'll move on to portals.
Damn it, I love valve. They make good looking games work on my old rig on the highest setting pretty much good.
Does anyone know if there is a way to relinquish/transfer a CD key for a steam game so that you can sell/buy it second hand, because the Steam FAQ seems to imply that they don't move keys unless you can provide a receipt and they mention not dealing with auction/used game sites, but amazon have copies of used valve games listed?

no. half-life 2 would have to be modified a lot to take advantage of the new graphical effects that were added in episode 2.
maybe there will be mod for hl2 which does that some day, but for now hl2 looks like it did when it came out.
no, easy, you want to know why? cause i like to compare game difficulty difference, in bioshock there were more and tougher enemies, so i wanna know if something like that will be in episode 2 (i didnt played HL 2 much and surely not EP1 yet), i know its weird, but when i tried it years ago, i didnt like it, wasnt in mood

Bioshock and HL 1 and 2 are totally different games (even different genre, Bioshock is more RPG like and less linear so it takes much more time to play because you develop your character) so maybe you should play it on normal at least. Besides HL EP2 is not a full new game. But could be cheaper as it's only an episode

Doesnt matter if they are different, i just told it for example, that i always play easiest mode then hardest. Well i got black box coupon from sold 2900XT, try to find someone who didnt want to use it

Crap, I was going to pick this up today at Target. The site says it won't be released until 10/11/07? Is it available on Steam a day earlier than retail?

Nope, just may have to wait a bit for them to unpack the boxes. Got it today at GS while they were tearing open the ups box. So yeah, should be in most retail places this afternoon.
Great game, I beated it at hard too. It was quite a challanege on someplaces. It was as short as episode 1 though... At least thats what I think. Anyway I had great time playing it, it had some fun challanges, great music, full of action and good story (well not good enough because it was too short, but I didnt expect nothing more). Again - GREAT GAME. I am now playing Portal (it is one crazy game you know )
