For anyone having the MountAppFilessysten() failed:
Check that all your gcf files are there...
Ive noticed some releases have these two missing.
source 2007 shared models.gcf
source 2007 shared sounds.gcf

its me again im un the level called under the radar i need to stop this crazy lazer machine how do i stop it? i'm already in the machine bulding kill all soldiers and i press the red button but nothing happend so how can i stop it????????

well it was fun, but again, valve failed to answer any story questions which sucks.
it kinda feels like Lost... more strange things happen all the time but nothing is ever explained.
I just hope that episode 3 will explain some stuff and hopefully it will be out in less than a year.
But well, considering it was 1 year for episode 1 and 1.5 years for episode 2, I got a feeling it'll be 2 years for episode 3.

also kinda funny that in episode 3 we'll finally go to Borealis. I ran around there years ago in the leaked beta of half-life 2 already... about damn time it gets finishied

This biggest factor in that is the length of time between each game. It's easy to forget the details when they aren't spoon fed to you. I know what you're saying, but I don't think it's a major problem like it became on the television series 'Lost'.

and yeah it's not really a huge problem, the game is still great.
I was just a little annoyed at how...
| Spoiler: | at the end of the game they suddenly come up with the borealis and how it could help them defeat the combine, while eli says it should be destroyed....
but why? what the hell is on that ship? why do we have to go there now? why should it be destroyed? what does aperture science have to do with it? what's the connection to Portal if there is any?

I just don't like having to wait another year or more to get an answer to those questions.

Finished the game 5 minutes ago and I think it's the best half-life that I've played. Really liked the amount of driving I had to do. I hoped they revealed a bit more about Gman. I'd really like to know how the hell he is.

Just finished it. An excellent game that was really worth the time they put into it. Of course, more hours of gameplay would have been nice but I guess it's better then nothing. I just hope the next ep would come faster.
Valve surely knows how to do games.

Finished the game too. I was having colored texture bug sometimes and AI graph regen loading, but overall not a bad game at all. The engine seems improved and performs a lot better. Too bad the the story never ends, valve thinks they can milk fans forever.

TBH I would be happy if they made more games that follow the same storyline.
