Ói?
eMule sucks, it's damn slow! It's only good for rare things, and it's where you get most fakes...
Recently i needed a software real bad (CAMWorks for SolidWorks), result in eMule? Porn, porn, porn, porn, damn!!!

Nah usenet is pretty bad compared to private torrent sites(<3).
-Usenet doesn't keep files for long, while torrent sites do.(well I guess that depends the price you pay for the provider but normally it's true)
-There's no need to upload files to torrents, just upload the torrent and people can start leeching right away, while on usenet you first have to get the file yourself from some topsite or whatever and then upload it to the server.
-Torrents are free
-I haven't tried all of the news providers but private torrent sites usually offer much higher download speeds. (for example I can perhaps get 3MB/s at usenet, and I can easily get 5MB+ on a torrent site, most of the time it never goes under 4MB/s)
But I have to agree I couldn't use just one of sharing programs. E-mule is really useful for finding e-books and rare stuff, public torrents for finding old movies and games.

the main issue of usent is that you need to pay for that...
Ironic as it seems, but you pay to download illigal stuff.

the thing I hate the most in bittorent,is that you cannot really make a search, you have to count on sites... which is lame

like I said, it depends on the provider (i.e. the price you pay for it). More realistic retention would be 100 days, which is what most providers use. And even private torrent sites keeps popular files for 300+ days, and less popular ones fade after 2 or so months.
You should try to use a private site, you would change your mind about torrents. I used usenet aswell b4 I got an invite to pvt. site. I've been using it for a year and I haven't visited usenet since. It's not really an issue of usenet not being free for me, even if it was free, these sites win hands down.

To get verified (true) E2DK links you'll also have to rely on sites

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 you too
For usenet I get like 40/80kbs. I got a real shit connection. but for torrents I get 160/170 kbps. I dun really have a good connection but i still get what i want when i want it.
E-mule i tried twice to get one game. Hype the time quest and I kept getting either spanish or german version. So I gave up on it. I couldn't find them game on torrent sties, on usenet and on private ftps. So I gave up on it. I'm willing to buy it right now if i were to run into it. But so far every store i run into doesn't have it
