|
 |
I have always used Verbatim DVD+R DL disks for my 360 burning needs. The price is pretty much the same as they always have been. However, I have noticed the prices of other brands have dropped considerably.
Which brands have you had success with?

Verbatim only,
burned about 80 games, about 3 didn't work and like 2 other got corrupted in the middle of the game. But its no big deal for me

Using Verbatim all the way, burn them all at 8x (even burned the 2.4x I bought at 8x). Only 1 coaster of about 40 burned discs.

As everyone else said - Verbs are good.
I've tried the Infiiniti ones - had mixed results (couldn't burn anything with one pack, and half the other pack was OK).
Other brand I use are AOnes - quite cheap, but they seem to work OK (occasionally get the odd blank that doesn't work, but not too worried as theyr'e so cheap!)
I use a Pioneer-111D drive

Burned on one of those Infiniti yesterday, doesn't support overspeeding on the media so with the 2.4x it took 40mins to burn a damn game.. Plus the discs really look a little cheapo.. I'll stick with Verbatim.

old nec and hitachi | hmm, nice to know. The verbs are damn overpriced.

I've always used Aone, cheap at £7.50 for 10 delivered.
Only had 2 fail on me (out of 40), it was with Skate. it played for a day or two then kept failing to load after that, all other games burnt fine with lots of play time! If other games start failing then verb's it will be for me also...
Edit: Pioneer 112D burning at x4

hmm so far i had :
Memorex
Mediarange
Nashua
RiData
and the only probs i have are with the Nashua discs..
when i play a game, and want to try a game that is on a Nashua disc it had problems with loading ( giving me a open try error)
than i turn the 360 off and wait for like 30 minutes and it works..
also i never tried a Verbatim.. ( i think they cost to much )
empty...

So far i have tried
Datawrite, Mirror, infinti and A1. all burnt at 2.4x and all printable disks.. out of 120, ive had 2 that didnt work and not one failed burn ---- yet! This is on a Samsung writer i bought for 20 quid...
Although i should add these are for my sons 360 which is his xmas pressie.. therefore i have not played anything for any length of time.. As ive read when disks get hot they fail.
Obviously i would like to buy Verbatims but have yet to find them at a decent price in the U.K
BTW the 2 that failed were bothl Mirror blanks.. so i will not be buying them again
