I think some people on here expect way to much from videogames nowadays
they all want mindless halo and crysis super gfx of doom. Most gamers are the reason games have been ruined, not the developers themselves. They bite such bullshit thinking it's the greatest ever which causes the company to keep making the same thing over and over again losing their innovation. Look at halo, same thing over and over again, why? Cause it sells millions. So by the time I have to use viagra to get it up, people will be playing halo 27 directors cut.

I never got into Halo. Played them, but never really liked them. The graphics never really impressed me, dont like the weapons, dont like the whole theme of the game.
I never understood the big deal about it
Same goes for Doom 3. The graphics were nice, but thats about it.
I prefer more history and or story based fps'.
Mindless running around shooting stuff with futuristic weapons and shit never appealed to me, no realism whatsoever
yeah, that was pretty much the reason i stopped playing FPS, the story elements are more and more less important these days,but despite all sometimes a diamand like bioshock appears
anyway SOF series were always about the gore... And that one will definitely the bloodiest one. Though one some of the videos the flying legs and stuff looks kinda wierd, as they are so easily detached..
Btw i remember in SOF2, i was shooting at a guy with the shotgun and blew off half his head, and he still was able to run around in panic , was an interesting moment..
Less pixelation, interesting videos but as the comment above indicates some gore effects look a little funny, it also appears quite easy to decapitate someone.
(Compared to being forced to use grenades or the shotgun in the previous titles.)

Still has yet to be seen how the gameplay feels and whether it becomes a repetitive turkey shoot or not. But even then, I still gotta devote a few hrs to this one alongside all the other good shit comin out then....Fuck.

After seeing the vids definetely gonna try it out. The gore and gameplay looks great. Also the gfx looks somewhat nice. Cant believe it's supposed (or not?) to be a value game. It doesnt seem like it in the vids. Im waiting for the game.
There doesn't seem to be a single body part that can't be separated from a body. The bullet from a SAW can tear off an enemy's leg at the kneecap. But he won't die instantly from this. He'll fall to the ground and either shoot at you in desperation or try to crawl to safety. If you leave him be, eventually he'll bleed out. But you can have fun and slowly dismember him with your weaponry. One time, just by chance, I shot a guy's hand off from 50 yards away. Unlike most shooters which switch to ragdoll once an enemy is dead, Payback uses ragdoll while an enemy is wounded (but still breathing). You can shoot a guy in the neck and he will hold his throat as it spurts blood. He'll stumble forward, bump into things, and generally look like a guy who was just shot in the neck.

I thought it was pretty clever, myself. Love the part about foreign language skills being a plus but "not required" just as he shoots some dude...
