Got a question about chapter 2
Spoiler: | When you are in the swamp and you find out gramps a cannibal does he play any important future role? I killed him and then I couldn't loot his corpse because the like 15 living plant things. Wondering if I missed anything super important. |

can anyone tell me when u get to choose differnt paths in the story this it mean that if u choose the direct path it means u loose out on the side quests like in chapter 1 when u get to decide if u are going to help defend the library or u going to help them outside with the big monster?

It's good and makes sense once you actually get used to it. I didn't like it much either at first cause no other game realy used their control scheme but I like it now.

All choices you make have consequences and important choices usually trigger a flashback cutscene rendered like a artistic drawing where your character explains what has happened and what might have caused it.
Such as the first choice regarding...
Spoiler: |
The prologue where you choose to kill the "Frightener" or protect the laboratory, kill the beast and the bandits will have had enough time to steal alot of equipment wich results in you meeting a mutated dog in the first chapter as a result of their expermentation, protect the lab and you won't encounter that creature plus the bandits won't have the equipment.
Same when you are dealing with other encounters like the elven renegades though I don't want to spoil anything else, play the game the way you want and see how it plays out and how it ends.

the choices are awesome.
in many games that present you choices, those choices don't really affect anything important. you might get a different ending but that's often the only thing that gets changed.
here your choices have consequences and that makes them seem more important, even if the consequences themselves aren't that important.
I like that.

What about difficulty, I started on hard, now long reloading times are getting on my nerves. Is there any console command or something to change diff in middle of the game? I don't want to start from the begining again.

I'm really liking the minigames I've seen. Fistfights and dicepoker are great.
Does having sex have any benefits? I can't see those cards anywhere after the first showing.

jeez don't get it when people complain about load times , this game load times are 30 sec min. , 60 sec is max ,
when people are complaining about load times this allways gets on my nerves , when i had 486DX 100Mhz i played Half-life 1 with load times like 15 min per level and i didn't complain , on my Pentium 2 mmx 450mhz i still remember the 4 to 6 mins load times form Baldurs gate 1 and 2 and so on....

Really enjoying this game so far - has a nice atmosphere.. the loading gets a little old but aah well.
Stupid question - but I protected that barlady and she suggested some loving in the mill - but i've gone at all 4 times now and its always locked. How can i meet her? I've already advanced past the beast bit now and onto the next chapter but was curious non the less. Has anyone managed to get into that mill? and if so.. how!?

swampfight
Spoiler: | Just wondering how you guys did it regarding the fight with the gollum in the swamp. The one that you wake up with thunder. I pulled him to the druids nest for some help, but they just 'oohh don't hurt us', hw killed them all except for one. The way I did it was beating him with the sword doing 1damage eaxh time. Some 100% hits for around 13damage. It took me atleast 20-25minutes to kill him off this way. had 3 health potions and 1 one cure posion potions. Must be a more effective way to take him down. |

Towards the end of chapter 2
Spoiler: | I accused the alchemist of working with the salamandar and now he won't talk to me. I am supposed to lure him to the swamp, but how can I do that if he wont talk to me? Do I have to light all the pillars with the sepirot's first? I have 7 not sure where to get the rest. |

Spoiler: | You awake golem near 3 pillars. When a fight starts, you can touch pillars to activate them, when all 3 are active and golem is inside triangle pillars form he will be struck by lightning (he still lightning rod in him), that'll do lots of damage. 4-5 lightnings and he is down and out. |
