I played 64bit with no problems on Vista Ultimate 64 bit... I've got Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM and 8800 GTX.

Holy shit! What a nice demo!!!
Just what I needed for my hangovers :]
Runs fine here at low res, with some medium settings on my 6800GE and p4 3.0ghz
I even use old nvidia drivers (93.71)

I read somewhere that the new nvidia beta drivers won't let you play the game on 64bit vista. maybe that's the cause?

there are quite a few developers who are already using the cryengine 2. there's even an MMO in development which uses it. that must be pretty damn cool :p
and no makavelitha, the engine is not crap just because you can't run a game that's not even out yet with everything on max on DX10 on your high-mainstream GPU.
what is it with people that they always need to run everything on max details, and if they can't then the game sucks? just reduce some settings. it'll look good enough and run fine.
very high DX10 is meant for people with highend GPUs like the 8800 GTX or Ultra or people with SLI.

8800GTX only runs DX10 @ 15fps (and DX9 in 25-30), so yeah, not that good of an engine.

Wonder if it'll be enough to save the future of PC gaming.

u ever think its the card that cant handle it? because in dx9 it runs slick on xp on my pc. It's one of the reasons i wasnt an early adopter on DX10 new tech its always better to wait a generation to see solid performance

might be time to lower the resolution.

It's possible, cause I'm using the previous drivers version...
@Grale ->
I've got EVGA 680i mainboard, Core 2 Duo 6600, Gainward 8800GTX, 2x 1GB Geil Ultra 800MHz, X-Fi Fatal1ty Sound Card and Vista Ultimate 64bit...
I tried playing on max setting, but it wasn't as fluid as I would like... I got around 25-40 FPS... Then I switched shadows to High and post processing to High and now I get around 35-55 FPS (everything else on very high)... I runs very good and I've got no problems playing ;] Res: 1280x1024

8800GTX could probably run it on very high at 1024x768 pretty well, but when you up the res to 1680x1050 or higher it's whole another story.

heh.. well they have to say something cool to make people wanna get dx10 hardware and vista.
anyway.. i'm happy with my 7900 gtx running the game on medium. looks great.
I suppose for DX10 very high gameplay at relatively high resolutions you'll simply need 2 GTS or new GT cards in SLI. that should do the trick.

i think we discussed that topic before and i still think that the pc has enough leverage to compete with consoles, because of its multifunctionality. It s always a hot topic around new console launches and the opinions greatly differ inbetween console-generation-switches.
EDIT: also, microsoft's games-for-windows strategy is also targeted at keeping the main reason for not switching to linux with the pc. Gaming.

Sorry to disappoint ya m8 but with my card and system game runs on 1280x1024 with all set to v.high for 8-20 fps .IF aa is on it's even worse. So hopefully they screwed up the demo or they just made a game that will be used as benchmark only. I don't see a point in releasing something that will require equipment from the future to run and runs sub mediocre on some of the most current systems. Yeah if i put it on winxp with everything on medium i get 50+ fps on 1600x1200 but that way it looks worse than every other game i tried recently like cod4 ,witcher etc

I played, I yawned, I deleted
Ran smooth here, I guess it was low fps all the time, but at least it was consistent, so it didn't bother me that much. Game was so so however, and I could only stand sentences like "Ama gonna killa!" or "you gonna die coward death!" so many times!

Try hard, they talk korean then.
IF you meant the enemies anyway, dunno haven't hard anything like that.. |
Don't know, played on the default difficulty. Enemies yelled in Korean until I got closer to them, then there were some corny sentences in even cornier Korean accents.
