Well it wont keep me from trying out the full game, but they should seriously think about remaking them imo, they look retarded and they're pretty far from perfect lol

the way they walk doesn't affect game play or the quality of the game, it's coming out this month, their not going to redesign all the animations when it's ineffective. I've got a list of bugs etc that im giving to one of the developers I know . The henchmen are kind of an annoyance to keep in check seeing as you can't control them. MP is simply gunna rule. Can't wait to buy it.

I really like this game, really liked playing with Boris, can't wait for it to be released:) Without bobby and that doctor dude I could not win the rathole mission cuz that shuck kept running every time his health got low, then finally I backraped him with a single shot while he was fleeing, had to use a baretta else I didn't have the range:)

If you level up the certain skill you can get an extra henchman so you'll have that huge dude and I think his name was "napalm" which uses a gun

I kind of liked gangland so I gave it a shot.
It wasn't bad, but there needs to be some things changed.
The second map was just too big. I didn't really try the car out, but a lot of the map is alleys so I'm not sure how well it would have worked anyway.
The rat, even on easy, is a giant pain in the ass. The guards in his area (after I'd taken all the other areas) were just way too difficult. I constantly lost my fully upgraded henchmen (sometimes due to really poor AI, no napalm, don't chase the hooker the in to the large group of 20 enemies).
and the big tough guy never respawned, so when he was dead I had to go at it without him.
one thing I did like was that the closest neighbourhood boss was tough enough to take out chuck on his own.
The level cap was really too small for that level. You needed more henchmen and the ability to use better gear to really make it more fun. Instead it just felt repetitive as I'd sacrifice my henchman to take out a couple of theirs then run back and rehire him.

a lot has been disabled due to it being just a demo, so more surprises when it comes out retail There are flaws and bugs but they are ironing them out and will have a patch ready on release.

this looks pretty good... multiplayer may actually make this a must own.
it seems to address ganglands complete lack of depth, but we shall see whats in retail.

I had the bug as well where the fat guy didn't respawn, I was level3 with boris and I still beat the rat's hole mission, as well as take over every single district, the clue to win the level is to call on robbie several times, you can even call 2 robbie's, add a doctor in the mix and you shouldn't have any problems, certainly not when napalm has the grenade skill(for boris I bought offensive and defensive order).

Napalm did, several times.
Non-respawning henchmen would be kind of pointless.

in the demo the same henchmen aren't supposed to respawn as the same character but someone else to which they don't respawn you have to go re-recruit them, otherwise them dieing would become pointless. "Oh hey, im just gunna go die now, be back in about 5 minutes" and then the game would lose it's RTS status and be just some hack n slash.
I must say I'm very pleased to see this game being taken in so well by nforce. If it can handle it here and succeed the game can go up against anything.

by respawn I mean they pop back up in the bar. I have to rehire him, but he comes back as "napalm". the big guy however doesn't come back as the same guy or anyone else. if both henchmen die you only get one new one to recruit.

and it runs ok on a shitty Athlon XP 2000+ , 1gb RAM and Radeon 9800 PRO playing 1024*768.
So it proves it's possible to make that have descent gfx and runs nicely on high end ring while also being playable for us low tech people |
1 reason why I'm supporting this game so much, the dev's are brilliant, make sure you show your appreciation

Quite sad really that your ignorance blinds you. GTA ripoff? Quite curious how this is even anything related to GTA. It's not even in the same genre. OMG!! I CAN DRIVE A CAR AND SHOOT SOMEBODY!!! SUCH A CLONE!! maybe if you came up with some REAL reasons you hate the game maybe I could understand your reasons but to call a game a rip off and a wannabe when it's not even in the same league or genre is just pathetic.
But hey thats fine, this game requires patience and strategy both of which you lack so those who play the "GTA" rip off, I wouldn't expect them to have half a brain to be able to play something that requires the smallest amount of thought.
