Chicago residents Neil (Gerard Butler) and Abby Warner (Maria Bello) have a perfect marriage and a worry-free life. However, when their daughter Sophie gets kidnapped, their lives are thrown into chaos as they are forced to comply with the kidnapper's demands. The kidnapper is Ryan (Pierce Brosnan), who is a dangerously efficient sociopath who feels like he has nothing to lose.

For the next twenty-four hours, Neil and Abby have no choice but to comply with Ryan's demands, and it soon becomes apparent that money is not the object -- in exchange for Sophie, Ryan wants them to kill an innocent man.

not really... he started brilliantly with goldeneye, but each next bond film sucked more and more... so far daniel craig is doing a fucking brilliant job, he works excellently as bond, and for the first time in a long time, im really looking forward to another bond film!!

no, your mistaken, it clearly says at the top of the page 'Also Know As Butterfly on a Wheel", NOT "a butterfly on a wheel" as you believe. hmpf!

Well I guess you can compare it to Ransom with Mel Gibson. Kid gets kidnapped, dad (or in this case the parents) has to do all kind of errands for the hostage taker... not bad but not great either.
