Heyz anybody get to the golem already? i keep hitting the guy but doesnt go down lol been doin it for like 5min lol does it take long or is there a better method?

use the pylons.. i made that mistake at first (fighting him with the sword) and it took like 15-20 mins lol
with the pylons he'll drop in a matter of seconds

when your fighting him, make sure you use the last one when hes in the middle and a lightening bolt should come down and bitch slap him

game is pretty nice, still disappointed about not being able to walk where you want to but hey.

Anyone else getting a system crash after you kill the wolves? I am running vista x64... not sure why it crashes every time there.

Hi,
cant talk about Vista or x64 systems but for me, on a 32bit XP SP2 with 2GB, loading/saving speed up a lot after i changed file system cache settings from "Programs" to "Systemcache" inside Controlpanel. Its also necessary to clean up the save games folder inside your documents folder from time to time as it grows up to some gigs fast.

i just installed the platin release , all that i can see is blood sprays of the enemy when i hit them, how can i decapitate an enemy?

guys i have question in vizima about quest:D pls help

the quest says : perhaps it's worth to checking what can posible go on in warehouse in the slums district at midnight?
well how can i finish this? 
first : i have to go first midnight from when i get the quest or after some days if i go i still can finish it? 
second : i have to enter in warehouse ?cuz when i going there i fight i vampire...but that was?i dont think so ,after kill it quest still shows me the warehouse...i cant enter the door are locked
if you need more details pls let me know i realy need to solve this before i continue my game

I just used the fireplace that is around the tavern and waited till 11pm, then went straight to the warehouse and a cut screen followed shortly. I did that some days after i got the quest. |

To some silent readers or others who hate the load times in the game (only bad part i can find about the witcher =p) heres a few proper tips for you
- the old defrag HD before installing trick
- always reboot your comp before playing and dont openclose any prog except the game itself
- close stray icon progs, and check ur processes list for big mem eaters, can even close antivirii temporarily.
- NOW MOST IMPORTANT - Make sure you install the game to the same partition of your HD as your windows is, mostly meaning C:
- Graphic settings inside game wont help load times hardly, ive tested this alot, those are mostly about your videocard capabilities.
- Test if file system changes from Programs to System cache bring results also, for some it helps
I'm playing the game with p4 2.8ghz(oc'd to 3.2) 1gb of ram and 7800GS and having only 15sec load times and down to 5sec loads into houses. Basically u want to use the same tweaks as u did with Gothic 3 stuttering reduction required.
if u got 2gb ram aka a "normal comp" u should have fast loads anyway but still moving the game to windows partition of your HD will increase performance noticably, and uninstalling doesnt ruin your saves, dont worry.
It's amazing how my summer of 2002 bought comp still works fine for 2007 games ! ive upgraded the videocard naturally but same cpu+mem+HD still kicking it fine
Loving the game btw, its a shame tho that theres only silver+steel sword u need as weaponry, wouldve hoped for more variety.

since the official technical thread isn't much of a help ill ask here.. Anyone else got random crashes in this game.. Only happens after some hours of gaming. The crash only occurs when i do something.. Like open a door or talk to someone

Yeah i also got those random crashes, only thing that made the crashes less frequent for me was playing in windowed mode.
