After patch 1.1 it doesn't work on pirate copy, although there are some interesting changes:

1) They reduced max fps to 30 for online games.
2) Slowdown lag is gone.
3) Pings are more stable (ish), it was 30-5000, now it's more like 30-3000).

That's it.

Where did you saw the release notes? link plz.
Interesting, it only fix bugs related to online so no big deal with 1.1 patch, btw the patch only updates settings.exe and pes2008.exe

I updated the game, and applied the crack (1.0), the game says its updated no need to patch it, strange.

If the slowdown lag is gone, the code is obviously in the EXE, so you won't get the changes. The fact that it says it's updated may only be based on a single key in the registry.

That's not official I sad official list, that's like a subjective view from one user of what the patch fixes, common every patch has an official list of changes just copy/paste.

If you search you will find:

Changes in version 1.1

1) Lag issues resulting from slow connections have been improved.
2) The speed the power bar builds up is now consistent.
3) Small mistakes in the in-game text have been fixed.
4) Minor issues that occurred under rare conditions have been solved.

Well, that is one crappy list, did they fix the slowdowns in replays? Did they fix the comp not remembering my desired level of difficulty? They fixed the shooting bar, didn't know that needs fixing.

Some people reported that they after installing the patch wasn't suffering from slowdown in the replays... Then again, some ppl reported that they still got it. Rolling Eyes

Great work by Vitality! What is all this "scene banned" crap? It seems they are doing a great job. IMO we need all the crackers we can get, makes no sense to "ban" some of them...

Damn, I'm stuck with 1024x768 after the patch, who's the guy that fixed that I need 1280x1024 please! The patch changes both pes and settings exe, my guess is they lowered the crowd detail in replays to increase fps, a lot of contradictory information some say the gameplay is better like the goalkeepers are better and the long ball is slower, passes are better, weeeird stuff.

Disable frame skipping. Performance must have been improved, and with frame skipping it gets "faster", only too fast.

wow i discovered that the patch fixed a bug for me. I can use v sync now and with this the vertical tearing is gone. Before it made the shooting really weird (when i pressed shoot button it didn't do anything for a half second and then the bar got almost full in an instant).

i think i dont have any slowdowns when near the goal. I used to have them. Replays are still quite slow. I dont see any change there, but I have one craptastic computer Razz

Thanks Hackz!

Wow, I am not sure what hey did but this game is finally playable some improvements I noticed: 1. reduced crowd detail, 'cut scenes' are now normal speed 2. they fixed the annoying slow replay, normal speed now 3. 'strafing' left-right with the direction analog stick when passing after foul or corners was too slow before now perfect 4. long balls are a bit slower 5. AI balls no longer ultra-precise 6. the ai doesn't some to run as much as before 7. much easier to take the ball form the AI, easier to play defense

I actually like this game now, much better than before. Points 5-7 could just be lowered difficulty by konami (I play on professional), points 1-3 could be the result of lowered crowd detail, still they fixed 80% of the problems I had with this game, the rest can be salvaged by the patching community it's still easy to run by your opponents and it still won't remember my difficulty setting but this game is much more fun with this patch, awesome job Smile

This is the difference from those EA asshole they would never release a patch like this or a football game that is playable for that matter.
