THAT was what the consolers rate as the end all be all of games? They ought to raise their standards a little bit. Where to start...
1. Weapons feel weak as shit. Hold down button, reload. Hold down button, reload. I guess they've moved from lead to cotton in the future as far as bullets are concerned.
2. Graphics look drab and dull. UE3 showing itself again.
3. Enemies are just globs of shit. Can't even tell which end is up most of the time.
4. Duck and cover gimmick gets old fast. You can't map sprint and cover to different keys so you end up sticking to shit you meant to run past. Shitty controls.
Made it about an hour and a half before uninstalling this junk. Pretty disappointed, was expecting something a lot better from all the rave reviews and ranting about this game.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Anyways, the controls are fine, seriously. And i never got stuck while sprinting.

This game is good compared to the 360 release, much more put together and not as laggy on high end machines. Controls are good unless you don't know how they work, e.g double tap.

Hey SpykeZ, I was able to get LAN working. My CrusaderNoMercy ID autopopulated for my Live Account. I bought Bioshock so that must be where that came from, dunno? I was able to host a LAN DM except I couldn't start it because it wanted more than one player. I was however able to start a COOP game and kill a few bad guys. Again, I didn't have anyone to join my game so I guess I cannot say for sure. Looks like it will work though.

Hamachi didn't work for me and my friends with Timeshift either. We found a interesting solution: BattleLan  Anyone remember this? It was used back in the day to trick WarCraft 3 to allow LAN games over net (sort of fake VPN). Maybe it will work here as well

Tried with 1.0.1.5 and newest, neither worked for us anyway.

I have an ultra stupid problem. When you are in the Options Menu, when want to exit, i just have to press ESC or click with the mouse on the "back" button. Ok, i works, BUT in Video and Audio menus i won't. I just can't exit the menus. ESC don't work, click - too. What's the f*cking problem?

Very valid points, anyone who blatantly ignores these gives this game to much credit and needs to get off it's nuts.

gears of war on 360 was great but i have to agree that weapons didn't feel strong or accurate.. it was just TONS of spray and hope to kill...
maybe PC is different? i hope so

Game is decent. I agree the weapons feel week but I guess it goes with the fact their wearing tank's for armor lol. Headshots don't seem to be...there at all. None the less this isn't game of the year material but it sure as hell is fun.

Wasn't the pc version of this game supposed to be all new missions? So far, it's just the way I remember the 360 version starting out....?....or is it the original missions PLUS several new missions?

they added a new chapter (5) including the fight with the huge monster looking dood

I have the same problem. I can't create a profile either so the game won't even save. wtf?!
