The game uses "Microsoft Live!" so try installing that redistributable.

(Was required for Shadowrun and Halo2, might be on the disc as well.)

Can you split this game on two DVD5? Has somebody tried it?

Good question. Sure you can if you know the order in which files are installed cause there are no cabs

I don't think a way has been found yet, because of the irregular way the installer works (copy files + decompress).

Maybe a stupid question...
But it ask everytime for a game profile (by live) played for a couple of minutes. But when i go to the main menu i cant resume where my checkpoint was.
Is this because of this live crap? How to save the game?

I just created an offline profile and so far mine has saved each checkpoint. When i play this game i disable my net connection - doubt that has anything to do with it.

WTF?
I never had to create an account or anything for the game to save every time I reach a check point. Not sure why some folks are having problems with the game not being able to save.
My only problem with the game is that it crashes, but I can bypass the crash by not clicking close program, so the game can continue.

Try installing the runtimes from the game disc.
Edit:
I wonder if the people with save issues are the same ones that had to trick the installer into working on their secondary partition/drive.
