its in the configs for the router... I cant find the manual or else I would post it. But like I said if you have a router that supports VPN and goto linksys site you can look up your router and download the setup for the client to connect.

Decided not to buy UT3 after all. If this is the support they give GoW, what promises me UT is going to be better? Fuck them!

Actually it seems like open VPN would be a much better solution for two people to just play coop - the config files are really easy compared to the other one hehehe.

speed999, there are some patches that allow you to play in eng (text at least) with the reloaded version. Try to find one of those. PM me for more info.

Really? I am not doubting your abilities, I just want to be sure it's not working. -- You were able to ping each other over the vpn you made? When you say not working, the game shows up but you can't connect? No game shows up? Anymore info you have would be nice. Were you able to disable your normal NIC so you were just connected via vpn? I am probably still going to try this with a buddy later as i haven't used openvpn and it seems kinda cool.

i was client (under nat) and my friend pakko the server. Everyone ping each other but gow didn't see any game created. Tryed both host and join game and tryed to disconnect lan, start gow, reconnect lan and not work again...
now i'm angry :@

Man im loving every second of the game. It looks so much better than on my xbox, every texture is so crisp, and full of detail, and on top of it all it runs great on my pretty average system (everything is on high). Stuttering does happen but only when i enter a new area, never in the firefight where it actually counts. Using the mouse to shoot instead of the controller is just like a night and day, now i can actually pull off headshots with relative ease unlike when using the controller. Not a single crash yet, and i keep backing up my saves in case the magically dissapear, overall of im really enjoying it. I think its a great port, i got used to the controls pretty quickly, in the begging i kept sticking to cover when i meant to run and vice versa, but now it feels pretty natural. As i said mouse and KB works great, now i can move and shoot while on xbox i could never pull that off, im gonna go against popular opinion and say this is a great port.

Broken save system so people lose their checkpoints, crashing, stuttering, windows live isn't working for half of the people and hamachi was their only other choice and it's blacklisted, great game but poor representation from these so called devs.
