I need a new game, something fun. My PC is a piece of crap, Athlon XP 3000, 128mb 9600, 1 gig ram. I think that the last game I actually finished was Tomb Raider Legend. Something with nice graphics, but not too heavy on the system. I don't really like RTS either.

Source-engine games (half life 2 + episode 1 + episode 2 + Portal + Dard Messiah Of Might and Magic etc etc)

Also, Timeshift , Call Of Duty 4 and Hellgate London run inexplicably smooth ! (better wait for a proper crack for the updated Hellgate London though, game is kinda buggy)

EDIT : Hey , Spykez, half of the games you posted are older than my grandma , and that's saying ...

ya so is his computer lol. The fact the XP's didn't have SSE2 really limits what he'll be able to run

I played most of those 10 years ago. And Jade empire ran at a whopping 3 frames per second in combat.

And Call Of Duty 4 won't run at all. I'm looking at portal, it seems fun. I didn't really like Halflife 2 though.

Call of Duty 4 runs without a hitch on my 3ghz P4 9800xt. I actually get perfectly playable frame rates in all newer games, although it's been a very long time since I ran anything on 'high'. Just as well though, since 'high' these days is basically just a metaphor for ridiculous levels of bloom. My biggest annoyance right now is the insane loading times in Witcher, which really makes me wish I had dual raptor hdds.
