Ive had my Wii since launch date and it was fitted with a Wiinja V2 by a friend of mine. It worked fine for ages. Then along comes Super Mario Galaxy and to my distress I find out my modchip isnt upgradable. I go back to the guy who fitted the V2 and he says he can fit me a Wiinja Deluxe which as most people know is upgradable! So he fits it and I get the console back. He says it was working fine before he gave it back to me. I put a disc in, it whirs and makes a noise and spits it out! This occurs with both original and backup discs!

I took it back to him today so I hope he can fix it or find out what the problem is! Id really hate to lose my Wii and after he said it was working fine when he gave it back to me, I have a feeling he will try and pin the cause of the problem on me and I wont even get a replacement console out of him!

I am not happy!

he denied that problem was caused by him, i really want to kill little fucker but decided 100 euro is not worth it

I cant afford to get a replacement Wii and I dont see why I should since the problem is nothing to do with me! Besides if I got a new one, apparently they are a bitch to mod. Launch Wii is 6 wires. The latest console is 32 wires apparently!

Goddamnit.

They got that here in Norway, every product you buy you get at least 2 years warranty (complaint right)

If they open it to check what is wrong you are pretty fucked. unless its hard to spot your mod.

Well Ive had an update from the guy who is trying to fix my Wii. He tells me a fuse has blown in the DVD Rom drive and he can fix it by joining the two points with a piece of wire! Not sure what to make of that! If it was meant to be a piece of wire. surely Nintendo wouldnt have put a fuse in there lol. Although Im not sure how easy it would be to acquire a replacement fuse for the drive. If it works, Im really not all that bothered! Still havent played Super Mario Galaxy! Smile

Update:

Something had broken off on the side of the carriage for the dvd rom he said and he just so happened to have a friend with wii spares who helped him out! Lucky me! So got the Wii back and its now working and I can play Super Mario Galaxy at last!

Case closed Wink
