i have a constant CTD after 2-3 min ingame , in solo campaigne mode.
Is it "normal" ?

is it just me, or are gunshots only coming out the left or right speakers, and never both?
Moronic sound engineers... back to emulated surround bullshit >_<.

I blame poor audio quality on the use of the crappy Vista sound manager instead of directsound + EAX.

Never been able to play since I got it, Im getting the wargame.exe infamous error on the splash screen, I'll give them till the end of the weekend then Ill deleted this bloated consolized joke from my HDD

whoever can't get it to work with hamachi use battle.lan works baby!
the host also has to be somebody who is not detered by a firewall or router from hosting

Could you elaborate on how exactly you set it up? I happen to remember at least one user who reported it didn't work for him.

Stupid Window$ decided to delete my saves! They are just gone from the "checkpoints" directory! Can anyone pass me his saves?
I was in the second chapter where
 Spoiler: | you arrive at a bridge an one of your companoins says "we kicked theyr asses" and you answer "it's not over, it's better that you reload" and you get attacked by a heavy machine gun and you have to push a car and make shield of it until you manage to kill the guy at the machuine gun. |

just follow the instructions, the dude that's hosting has to be able to host and not be blocked by FW or router. I thought it didn't work at first when I tried to connect to somebody and got connection failed. But when I hosted we got in a game, got my head blown off :*(

that's odd
the game's working fine.. no crashes here and it runs perfectly fluid at pretty high settings at 1280x1024.
I was pleasently surprised with the performance, didn't expect it to run this good.
oddly enough, I hear gunshots coming from both speakers.
The performance really is great though. my pc is only average.. core 2 duo 2.8ghz, geforce 7900 gtx.. and it's really running great.

Not even Windows' own FW? Isn't it possible to make exceptions, don't wanna run my computer without any FW.
What system you both are on (XP or Vista)?
Will try that when i install the game. Never heard of this battle.lan btw.

I'm guessing you can just open the ports that gears uses to let it play. I disabled AVG FW just in case. dunno if it will work with it enabled because I didn't try, there's also a game mode button on the AVG FW, maybe that will do the trick, anyways if you're trying it wouldn't hurt to disble the firewall for a few minutes just to see if you get in a game, then you can try with the firewall and tweak if needed

I must be one of the lucky ones COD4 and Gears run really nice, Gears has a hiccup once in a while but runs and sounds great, no CTDs.

nah, UE3 engine is really good at scaling. My friend is using an AMD 64 2.0gfz, x800GTO, 1 gig memory and some sound card and her computer does fine on low. |

I've got the following problems,using RELOADED version
1.When at the video/audio menu,whenever i wanna get out of it i CAN'T...i have to ALT+F4..
2.I press F1 for a profile but won't show up...
3.When tryin' to change controls to see what are their use,they appear EMPTY..when i Default 'em up,after goin' to the game all i can do is move the mouse left n right to move back/forward....LAME!...
HELP! ><

anybody tried to play a LAN game with battle.lan I got it to work with it earlier today and played a versus game, however now for whatever reason it's not working and I can't even see the games being hosted nor can anybody see mine. Could somebody with more technical experience try it please?

Just started playing, did the first level. No problems whatsoever. Runs like a dream with everything on max on 1680x1050 on my setup (Core 2 Duo @2.7GHz and 8800GTS). The only thing that annoys a little are short but nasty hickups whenever the game loads something. Dunno what's so hard about doing seamless data streaming, especially on a PC with an abundance of system memory. Another thing is, vsync doesn't work. Set it to on but still get ugly tearing. Am i the only one?

I'll look into it when my buddy gets on-line. We should be able to get it to work since the program is working. |

still, the crash "workaround" worked for me for 5 minutes, then the game really crashed and I had two error report windows and no game window anymore. Well w/e, I don't like those fire-from-cover games anyways.
