you might try looking on the official forum. theres quite a lot of complaining on there about different kinds of crashes so someone there might have a work around. I'd go look myself but I got banned |

OK, fixed the menu problem. Now i have another ... the control are fine, BUT the mouse view is wrong. I mean, when i move the mouse forward/backward the view goes up/down, but when i turn the mouse left or right the charakter goes forward and backward, not looking left ot right. Any ideas?

Great game, must be the most buggy in history?
I get the runtime error, running on Vista with a AMD 64 X2 cpu and an ATI 1950 Pro.
Latest gfx drivers and have run the Dual-core optimizer.
I can't just "reopen the window to continue to play", I get an "the program has stopped working, close the program" screen and can't maximize the program and just choose to close it.
I don't have 2 network adapters and most tips seems to be for Win XP (unload WindowsBlinds etc).

when i start GOW the language is set in spanish.. how do i change to eng.. its RZR version.

Well fuck this piece of shit.
Back to the drawing board for the assholes that made this non-working junk. (And no, it's not funny either, played it on xbox360 and it's repetetive as hell. just wanted to see if there were any differences on the pc version.)

Wait wait wait,what did you said?....RAZOR release is in SPANISH?...and i tought eeeeevery1 says it's ENGLISH ONLY...
sides of that,i got trouble.
1.Can't create profile,clicked/F1'ed the k.board and nothing...lights up,but does nothing
2.When in video/audio,i can't get out of it...
3.if i go to controls,all of 'em are EMPTY...and when i put default and get back into prison keyboard's ESC key is the winner,rest doesn't works...,another winner: Movin' mouse left/right makes marcus move  ...but nothing else ¬¬....
4.FINAL BLOW...Game does BSOD also after i get out of the 2nd door at the Training part by kickin' it at beginning of the game
Anyone got these problems with a BOUGHT version?

so downloaded this Pos , installed it took like 40 min to install this 12gig hunk of data , game runs fine all on high
but i GOT A PROBLEM THAT DRIVES ME NUTS , HOW TO SAVE IN THIS GAME !!!!!!
when i exit it my saves are GONE ??!! i played this for 4h and WHAT now start from the beginning !!!
Edit: at Epic forum some dev told me its a bug , "Sorry for the inconvenience it will be fix in the next patch" , crap must waste another 4h to get to act2 AGAIN
what kinda idiot would port Xbox crappy Live to PC

Have really weird prob. I deinstalled GOW due to space. Wanted to install it on another drive etc etc. But when I hit Install now, I get...Do you want to deinstall blabla...DEINSTALL!!! WTF.
Ok, I hit ok and then I get this.
It says "Error Code bla bla, GameuxInstallHelper.DLL could not be loaded. Set up will now finish."
Any ideas here 
Or should I simply revert to a previous image I have of the C: drive. Had enough of that today, as something happened to my NIC, but that's another story.

I would if I could read the error messages lol. What release are you using?
If your using anything that the razor release then I really dunno. Install the rzor1911 release, use crack, startup game, if it doesn't start up right away end the startup.exe process then start the game up again.

Well make sure you made an offline profile for starters. And the save bug occurs in act two from what it sounds like, I was in act 2 as well when all my saves were lost. |

BUMP I know its a wierd error...but anybody please!
I guess some crap is hanging in the system from the previous deinstall (reg etc) but...what the hell to search for. Allready checked that there are no traces of GOW in Regedit...must be some files with another name. |

...was half way through it when Crysis popped up. I needed a bit more HD space for Crysis so I wanted to simply move it to another drive...ah well, there you have it.

hi,
i installed GOW. everything runs perfect accept one thing,
i am trying to use my logitech rumblepad cordless 2 , the game pad works , accept the left analog stick that i use for up, down ( in menu) forward. backward (in game) is iverted
when i go up it goes down and when i go down it goes up.
the strafe left,right is working correctly.
ive been waiting for this game for so long, please help
my specs,
Intel Core2Duo E6750, Asus Striker Extreme, 2 gigs Crosshair pc8500 1066 ghz, xfx gf 8800 gtx, latest nvidia beta drivers, logitech cordless rumblepad 2

might just be the gamepad isn't natively supported. A lot of 360 games being ported over are using the x360 gamepad layout.
did you go into the controller setup menu and change the "invert y axis" option?

but the invert option is for the right analog only for the look around axis.
im very frustrated, coz the logi gamepad is one of the most popular for pc.
it would be a shame if you can only play the game with a xbox controller.
im shure that it can be fixed via the ini files, but i dont have any idea where to start

I just come home and i have FIXED MY CRASHING problem !!!
I did two things. One of thouse solved it.
1) I started the UPNP service (that is used by games for windows live). This service was disabled (did it myself because i don't like UPNP). --> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941206/en-us
2) I have putted Kaspersky in compatibility mode. For all Kaspersky users try this one i think that did the trick. Look here how to do this:

I don't like that i have to put Kaspersky in compatibility mode. In compatibility mode the protection of confidential data and anti-dailer is disabled.

it works but it's spanisch i removed that file the outher time ... maby is that the problem off the crashes ... u know what the do ?

hmm, wonder if it crashes cause the exe tried messing wit that service. I believe I got mine disabled as well. |

Maybe it's the g4wl shit that runs on top of the game... I think that is the source of all the problems.
It's a separate app that runs on top of the game.

FIXED IT!!!! HELL YEA!
Thank God for CCleaner, Windows Install Cleanup and Acronis True Image.
I wont go in to details here as it would most likely fill a small book, but DAM I AM GOOD!  |

Those all got nuked, have you tried the razor one? Haven't heard much trouble out of that one if your up to re-downloading the game. |
