I think it all translates into SpykeZ wants nachos
anywho upon further investigation into the lan thing it might be lan related in the game. if you don't connect in a certain amount of time it may disconnect you. I'd ask some people to try with but since im in the states no one is gunna be close to me. So if you got anyone mabye an hour or something from you give it a try.
in other wrods high ping's prob won't be able to play with each other. Me and my buddy were 90ms away. anyone hit lower give it a try. I know a program called xlink but isn't that good for 360 because MS rigged it so any "lan" connection that's below a certain ping will time out, which could be the case with this game if they tinkered with it.

No, I downloaded it but I may buy this if I can find the funds. I am using Razor's Proper release. The only problem I had was that it would run at 14FPS for some reason and it was really unplayable. I would reboot Vista and then go back into the game and then I would have 60-62FPS at all times. This hasn't happened in the last 4 sessions though. Probably a weird Vista thing. Cannot wait for SP1 for Vista, a lot of improvements! I am using the 8800GTS 640mb with 169.04 beta driver. I didn't have any problems with the profiles. I started the game up and right away it showed that my CrusaderNoMercy profile was logged in? Not sure how this happened. I bought Bioshock so that may be why or maybe playing Shadowrun? Not sure. I can change my graphics options and keyboard items and exit the game and come back in and they are the same.
The game has been a pure joy to play so far!

no way, me and my buddy have 35ms and, with the know workaround, not work... tryed 30 times me as client and 30 times he as client........ wtf?

I can confirm that Hamachi works for Co-Op Play.
Me and my buddy did the regfix and changed the Network Adapter priority, worked perfectly and played straight trough the first 4 acts.
Don´t know if its important, but we are ~20ms away.

Game ran fine no lag, no crashes till i got to the spot where u kill Berserker.....i got himand got abit further and then it just crashes at one spot and there is nothing i can do...i try to maximize gamewhen i get the error but it still doesnt let me play and closes game, and it all happens exactly at one spot...may there be any fix t othis ? it says * Visual C++ encountered an eror something*

I was waiting for GOW since it was announced that coming to PC.
Now, uninstall it after 2 hours. Bad, very bad port. And one of worst setup/install i have seen in my life.
Please die serie "Games for Windows" I`m not interested in any your lame achievements, online scores, and another super uber cool servises. I just want stable and polished single player game. Is it so much? Man i`m pissed.

I've seen those settings in ut2004, tickrate isnt really max ping, but keep looking you may find something useful.

Well, i had all kinds of problems before the profile,ESC,HOME button etc and non of the fixes worked for me. So i reinstalled the OS and now everything works like a charm.

My key was already here but I have read that some not.
So you just have ton run REGEDIT (Start=> Execute), navigate to the correct path : "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Software\Microsoft\XLive"
On the right panel, right click New String Value (i am not sure that string is the name because I have not a US Vista).
A new entry is created you can change it s name to "ConnectionOverride"
then dblclick on it and change its value to "Hamachi"
or alternativly you can dl a .reg file and dbl click on it (just verifiy that it s does what I have saide just above ) before executing it
The trick is working for some but many have the same "Connection the host lost" error message.

Hi,
Got the same random crash to desktop than many.
Once I load the last "checkpoint" the game after after few sec... might be between 3-30sec later..
Not necessary at the same spot or doing the same thing (I make sure to change what I do and the spot as well)
All in all I think this game will go the the trash bin if there is not fixed in few...

Basically the reghack is doing the same thing.
My first hack was the one you re referring to. Pretty boring.
After the reg hack, I have no more had to to this sequence again.
That was better.
But...timed out connection occurs.
If you can test the ini change I have talkedbefore....
Perhaps have you done something wrong with the regedit.Try to find on google the correct .reg. It has work for me.

ROTFL...? o.O Just checked highest texture settings and 1280x720... Hmmm no difference between old settings... >.< Im still gettin like 40-60 fps... Its choppy at times but its that shitty screwed up chopping that most of us encounter, regardless of their configs... :< Crap, waitin' for patch to eliminate this... PORT ROCKZ

since you new kids don't like to read, I put the reg fix for hamachi in my sig and not being able to join is all done by MS and their bullshit live system. Also the tickrate in the ini settings isn't the problem either.
They did this same exact shit with the xbox360 so people couldn't use xlink and play over the internet. So unless your like in the same city as your buddy I doubt you'll be playing this on hamachi unless your bloody lucky.

yeah, from the rumors I'm hearing that there is a maximum ping limit if you want to play lan, if the latency between the players is higher than a certain amount then the connection will fail.

ya, me and my buddy were on average of 94ms away, been with a group on hamachi working on a solution and seems you have to be around 30ms or lower to do it.

Yes it s what I have supposed in my previous post. And because as a dev I would have put a variable that I could use to test, I have made the assumption (bad apparently as SpykeZ said) that the .ini may content this variable. Searching for LAN in the ini file, I found 4 possible key and two of them were containing 30 (I have read somwhere that some could connect after multiple try if one try give ping under 30)..So I post here....apparently it s not the good way to play coop..too bad...

and if you mess with the INI settings it's gunna crash the game. Theres some people that's gunna check the .exe with a hex editor to see if anything comes up in there so sit tight I guess.

I don't think it was related to that. The developers seem to have used random variables that they check at regular intervals and sometimes make the game crash. They are actually laughing at us this very moment.
