Some people claim that the demo only uses 1 core, and that the full game will use dualcore/quadcore. I tought the demo ran fine, but if its true that it only used 1 core then im in for a treat Very Happy

Also, can you start up a LAN server to check out the multiplayer maps and how they work in dx10 mode/server? Or is it all just giving a stupid cdkey error?


ws hoping for that regarding the cores too but some guy with a dual core and similar setup to me(well 2gb ram compared to my 4gb) got half the frame rates so I was thinking it was already optimised for quads. but its possible it culd be better optimised for gpu and drivers as im sure those had issues as sometimes cutscenes were choppy though game wasnt.

fingers crossed its gonna be even faster, need to get above 60fps. Very Happy

game does not function on my system. crashes instantly on running crysis shortcut.
running core 2 duo 2.67, 4 GB ram, 8800 gtx and vista x64.
tried to run in both 32 and 64 bit mode but both fail and crash instantly.

Had a HUGE! network card prob here. Just fixed it by reinstalling the BIOS for my mobo (took me something like 2h hot line to Inet provider + 8h fiddling) PHEW!
Now I am back to find that CRYSIS is released WTF! Way to go!
Grabbing it now!

you should know that the sensible thing to do with vista is have dual boot to it and XP then when this shit happens you just go to XP instead.

are you running the 169.04 forcewares?

k well its a bad crack.. im 100% sure.. i tried on my 2 desktop pc's here and on my laptop..

desktop pc 1 runs xp pro sp 2 (and has every driver up2date!) and is capable of running the game.. cuz it ran the demo just fine without problems.. (same goes for desktop pc 2 but thats windows vista)

laptop didnt work either as i suspected.. cuz its a laptop Razz

i was running in those but downgraded to 163.75.
like i said, looks to me like bad crack or bad x64 support.
and dual boot not needed. vista works fine except in some stange cases like this.
xp has no dx10 support and i want my 8800 be used fully.
it's like getting a farrari and only drive 50 miles a hour and get ur groceries with it Smile

nope no effect it's a crash on the crack.
vista works fine on games. my vista system runs 90% of games smoother then my friends identical system on xp.
