can 64bit users just use the 32bit .exe and play that way?

"Yeah, this game is nuked, but this will only go for all the users who run a 64-bit system. All other people will be able to play this game just fine. If you run a 64-bit version of your OS, you can still play this game, but only in 32-bit mode (go to game directory and click on the 32-bit executable). You can probably wait for the scene to come up with a 64-bit cracked executable."

no does not work at all, either cracked 32 bit has same issue, instant crash.
runned 32 bit exe and wham instant crash. 64 bit exe does stat but then fails with insert correct cd Smile

what Glottis said...

I never had any problem with Vista 64Bit... drivers are fine... unless you have hardware thats almost a decade old... and what are those "major" applications anyway?

OH really!!! Laughing

Crysis runs painfully slow on Vista 64 bit

http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4075&Itemid=34

"We tried to play Crysis on a DirectX 10 platform with a machine with 4GB ram and Vista 64 bit and we've learned that at high or very high settings, even at 1024x768 or 1280x1024, you get less than 20 FPS. We used the best card on the market, an 8800 Ultra overclocked all the way to 655MHz, and it still scored some 16.5 FPS average in a benchmark. We tried to turn the FSAA and Aniso off and it still didn't help much.

The test machine is powered by two Athlon FX 74, 3GHz dual core CPUs, has 4GB of memory, and the above mentioned Geforce 8800 Ultra, but this is just not enough; and even at modest resolution it cannot play Crysis. I guess you can blame Nvidia’s 64 bit Vista driver.

We installed the same demo under Windows XP and we upped the FPS rate all the way to 36.5, which is enough to shoot and kill the bad guys. This is more than two times better.

If you don’t have Vista 32 bit, go for Windows XP and it looks the same and will work better. SLI still doesn’t work on the Crysis demo. "

Definetly Smile

Shame about the crack, hopefully a working one comes out soon and in the form of a crackfix and not a full proper.

Going to go on and disagree with you there. DX10 obviously runs slower even on Vista 32 bit. XP will naturally run faster being its DX9, in Vista 64 bit I get around 30-45 FPS in DX9 mode so maybe you should not post anything from Fuad's website since hes a pile of garbage, along with his staff.

so bullshit on apps and drivers, driver support is verry good. every piece of hardware i own works in 64 bit.
and 32 bit only sees like 2.7 gb of the 4 gb ram.
still 3dmax and my video edditing goes bloody fast in 64 bit mode.
that's why i run 64 bit.

steam has 100% 64 bit mode. wich most games come on now a days anyways.
u are just yelous you or ur pc cannot handle x64.
or you just don't know what ur talking about, get course on windows vor nubba's.
comparing xp performance against vista is so 2006. vista is more heavier for a game and system but hell dx10 is the future and xp/dx9 is history.
next windows will be x64 only and nativly.
so how about shutting up and get back on the thread.

it's badly cracked for vista and x64 that's the fact were having the issue's on.

ps same site has this info that 64 bit is faster so get ur facts straight.

After much messing about in the very early hours of the morning, I finally worked out why the 64-bit version of Crysis would not run. For some reason in the Nvidia control panel when the V-Sync option is set to "Use the 3D application setting" and the Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration setting on "Multiple display performance mode" the 64-bit version would instantly lock up. Changing these settings to “Force On” and “Single display performance” allowed us to finally run the 64-bit version. The results were quite good...

So run it in a lower res.. its well known that the game will bring high hardware on its knees.

Jeez quit complaining and just suck it up and run it in a lower res. I played the demo in 1024x768 and it ran fine on my shit hardware (Athelon X2 4400+ and 7800GT 256MB).

You are going to need cards that arent out yet to run the game in that kind of res at any kind of decent framerate.. oh and a faster CPU too.. Crysis is very CPU dependant as stated in the benches at vairous sites...

I was just wondering not ripping on anyone using 64bit. We all know that the 64bit architecture is the future of gaming. It's slowly moving that way. I just don't think they put enough effort into utilizing it yet.

So, nobody has gotten this to work? I thought someone was able to play and got past the point where the Demo ended?

Have you tried a lower resolution, 1280x1024 maybe?

AthlonX2 6000+,2gb, 8800gt,vista pro. 1280x1024 all on high. 30+fps

doesn't feel as good performance wise as demo for me! i could have shaders and post proc on v-high and get 25+fps in demo, now it's 20- fps :¬(
