So which in your opinion is going to be G.O.T.Y. for 2007?

I will name a few:

Crysis
Bioshock
COD 4
GoW
The Witcher
Orange Box(or maybe each title separate)
Unreal tournament 3
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Supreme Commander
Hellgate London
Assasin's Creed(GOTY in general)
Timeshift
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms

My vote(s) go to these:
Crysis
Bioshock
COD 4
Orange Box(if taken as one game...)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

I don't think Unreal 3 will be there, neither ET:QW. Assasin's Creed is another story but I put it here because it looks grat. Very Happy

As mentioned in the Crysis thread I nominate
- The Witcher
- Bioshock

Reasons: Both games offer a unique and extraordinary singleplayer experience, immersion and atmosphere not found in recent games for a long time. Both are almost bug-free, are not simple copies of generic standard gameplay concepts and designs. Playtime is long lasting, hardware requirements are moderate. The love for details in both games is outstanding. Handling is not without flaws, but OK.

OK, there is no multiplayer, but thats no problem for me. I know, other gamers think different about this feature. Razz

Assasins Creed is 2007 on consoles that's why I added the comment Wink
Anyway, I should have kept it solely about PC I guess Smile

Actually these are the two I like most, especially TF 2. However, I don't see TF 2 making it there because the content is weak for one title. Few maps although very well made.

How is TF2 anyways, haven't played it yet. It like the normal DM, CTF etc?

Yeah, that is the only low point of TF2. I listed them both because they offer so different styles of MP gameplay, that I can't just choose. COD4's perks system is brilliant (don't get me started on how much I love Last Stand Razz) and TF2 is... Well, TF2 Very Happy.

WTF? This is a sin! Go get it at once!

The CTF map sucks, but the other modes (don't remember the names of the modes) are so much fun! And I don't think it even has plain DM.

Think of it as a multiplayer game where you have fun, strats, intense but also relaxed in a way. I highly recommend it, at least to try it at a gaming cafe or a friend. Smile

PC GOTY: Crysis...IMHO deserves it just because it pushes so many boundaries and is kinda a testament to the fact that whatever consoles can do, pc can do better.

PC GOTY Runner-up: The Witcher...Would have been GOTY for the Spectacular Story(best video game narrative in years, hands-down) except for bugs and general lack of technical polish(forgiven because of being an atari product).

GOTY(in general): Super Mario Galaxy...It's mario and if you need further explanation than that why it deserves it, you're either not old enough or smart enough to waste it on.

GOTY(in genreal) Runner-Up: Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure...Like playing a next-gen Sam & Max or other classic adventure/puzzle game. Re-invents the genre and I hope there is more to come of games like it.

COD4 is my GOTY! -- I get bored of games very easily, I load it up... say "wow" at the graphics, play for a couple hours and never bother to go back to play/finish it.... eventually Unistall

COD4 is the first game since HL2 that I actually finished, was hooked from start to end... The game ropes you in a keeps you there!

Sure it does, why wouldn't it be working? As far as I know, all Source games work online with cracked Steams on non-VAC servers, plus they are updated regularly.

mm don't think orange box could classify as a game cause it's just a pack of games. I mean ya for those who liked the games it was awesome but I think the games seperatly should be judged.
