Well I didn't like the demo much, but I'll play the full some more to see if it surprises me at some point.
The rls works fine, but I had to get dt 4.06(dt pro didn't work even with yasu) in order to play...besides the msd fix of course.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/834/834801p1.html
A very critical review of the game. Has quite a few good points.
OT: One thing I'm glad about? That I'm still a casual gamer. Every single thread around has users complaining about flaws I don't even notice while gaming. That's because I'm used to enjoying games without looking to deep into them for flaws that is. I would never run through a game with a good story without noticing it, but most of the little flaws here and there that many people mention, I don't even notice, or really care about.
That said, I know NFS:PS' handling is hardly realistic, and the cars may be hard to turn, but after playing the demo I've got used to it. I guess I'm not asking for realistic, and the rest of the presentation (graphics, sound, damage, pure sense of speed and excitement) makes me want to play ProStreet and just get used to the handling. I'm not comparing it to arcade or simulation, I'm just getting used to it for what it is.
P.S. I know that most probably nobody cares about the last 2 paragraphs I've just written. I'm just glad I can still enjoy good games that others waste more hours on forums criticising rather than playing. I guess that there's a "fun" factor, that's made up as a total of what the game brings. And for me, yes, ProStreet is fun. No matter its flaws. A score like 6.8 makes it sound like a really poor game.

Doesn't sound too great in the review, but it surely can't be anywhere near as bad as Carbon?
I'm wondering though, how hard can it actually be to get these games good? They got the physics right in NFS Porsche, they had the car customization/tuning right in NFS Underground 2( and this one? ), they had the car selection right in NFS High Stakes and they had the tracks/maps right in just about all games up till Underground.
Now we're stuck with poor maps, a mostly boring car selection, and terrible physics/car handling. Welcome to next-gen?

From Ign's article:
"A few of us around the office drive some of the cars that you'll find in the game, like a 2007 Civic Si (which is identical to the '06 in the game) and a 2006 Pontiac GTO, and none of them handle anything like the real deal. ProStreet's version of the GTO barely turns at anything above 30mph, and doesn't really instill any sense of its 400hp engine. The real Civic Si is a nimble little car, but ProStreet's Si feels very top-heavy and slides around corners like they're covered with ice.
And though we don't drive every car in the game, it's clear that most of them, if not all, do not drive like what we would expect from the real thing. It's sad, too, because this one, huge fault brings down a game that would otherwise be fairly solid."
"Need for Speed ProStreet is a disappointing effort in a franchise that has generally been rather solid. It sort of feels like EA is starting over again, leaving the open-world aspects to other games like its own Burnout Paradise, but is seems like Black Box didn't know what to do with what was left. It could have still been a decent game had the cars driven well, but unfortunately their performance is shoddy. Car lovers will find something to like here due to the customization options, but Need for Speed has certainly seen better days."
its weird.
looked like shit from the videos...
played like major shit in the demo...
and now felt like shit in the final aswell.
must because it is a piece of shit afterall?
tnx for ruining the saga game after game, Ea Sucks.

Wtf is ign thinking, they're expecting the cars in nfs to feel like the real thing? Maybe they should try gtr/rfactor/live for speed.

ahahah ign suck teh kawk... what bit about 'arcade racer' dont they understand. nfs have never been simulators.
i have a question...
last nfs game i played was most wanted....
why does the graphics in this game look worse, or at best, the same, as most wanted? or is it just that some of your computers suck the proverbial dick?

This game looks better, the car models are more detailed as well as the effects. These screens in the thread look like someone playing it on PS3 taking pics with a camera on their SDTV.

well either way... after reading the review and the contents of the game... sorry guys, i reckon im really gonna have to give this a miss... it just sounds crap... id much rather reinstall dirt, or even nfs mw if i get hit by a sudden desire for a driving game...
this is a pity, because i was actually looking forward to the game... just sounds really shite to be honest..

Trust me, chiv, just try PS. I know how you feel, I'm one of those that reinstalled MW just on the wait for PS. You'll like it. Plus, tis only a DVD5, right?

Need.For.Speed.Pro.Street-RELOADED was just pre'd.
From what I've read this game has no free roam, or at least no cops. If that's true, that kind of sucks.
