Well the whole RC7 made me wonder. Release Candidate 7, right? I may have the number wrong, I am playing Crysis right now till I get this worked out so I can't look.
Metal-Reaper, did you install the INT folder to get english? Also, did you try the game w/o it? (if you installed it of course.) I only tried the game AFTER adding the INT folder and changing the .ini. I wonder if it works fine w/o maiing the changes.
We'll get it. I can't wait.... but I will.

well i found the movie files D:\...\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Movies\ they are in .bik format, so you will need RAD Tools' Bink Video Player to view them, only they are without dialogue sounds, ambient music is there, but no voices, so it really has no big point, unless you just want to enjoy the visuals (and see, how the character models really should look like)

well, single-player campaign isnt just a buzz-word that gamers want to have added to the games attributes list, we actually want to experience one too. And if a company makes our mouth water with such advertisement gems, we do indeed salivate. Not delivering on such promises is taking the spit.
sure, previous iterations of the ut franchise also had a kind of SP-campaign in bot-match style, but me thinks that everybody just deeply wanted that original unreal feeling back, that started it all. If you dont understand that primal longing of a gamer's soul, you werent around, when unreal originally was released upon the unsuspecting masses of soon to be flabbergasted gamers worldwide |
Yeah I have played every single Unreal based game their is and mod, but I can still work out that UT isnt the same as Unreal cant you?

sure i know that UT isnt unreal, but since it still bears that name, people get excited on the prospect of a single-player campaign and i guess you can work that out too. If not, would you call the tournament single-player ladder-games you could do in UT a "single-player campaign"? Are bot-matches a "single player campaign"? Or is calling it a "single player campaign" just marketing buzzword bullshit that should be put where it belongs?

Yes, I would agree that people who don't know about the history of Unreal Tournament might think it is a "real" single player campaign, but for anyone else, they should know better. It comes as no surprise that it will just be a "bot-ladder" with some cut scenes thrown in. No matter the case, it is still a single player campaign by definition. Of course cooperative play is a nice added twist.

I don't think so. Most likely in-engine.

There is russian release floating around, it has blood and gore, but it's, well, in russian only, and have starforze, so it's no use anyways.

This game is awful--
--I hate to say it, but Multiplayer shooters - once the crown of PC gaming, are dead.
Ut3 is in every way worse then the original UT and it feels a lot more worse then Unreal's multiplayer too.
Burn them all Adolf

oh wtf are you bitchin' about, if you like your ut99 textures so much then go play it and stfu about ut3, who the fuck needs to read all this bullshit about how much better ur ut99 is...i mean, how the fuck can you say, that ut3 has shitty graphics, are you blind or do you have some serious brain damage...ofc the bullshots were a bit better, but who the fuck cares, it still looks great, and when you're fragging the shit out of your enemies, do you really just stand there and watch the texture sharpness with a magnifying glass?...i mean come on, be serious for a moment and stop bitchin' around like some little babies...and by the way this is an UT3 thread, not an UT99 worshipping temple, capiche? (this is for all those dudes, who were whining their asses off about the textures in some previous posts and for those who are talking way too much about ut99...just to get it clear)

Interesting little detail I noticed is that you unlock more playable characters during the campaign albeit there doesn't seem to be that many characters as I just started Act 4 and have only unlocked the Liandri "Matrix" droid and the Necris faction with three soldiers. (There's also a extra Iron Guard female via pre-orders on sites such as GameStop which is what that bonus code window is for.)
