Im gonna buy a new 32" LCD this month, but im not sure wich one to pick.
Samsung LE-32S81B or LG 32LC51 is what im looking at atm.
The LG is slightly cheaper, but know Samsung makes good TV´s..
Any ideas?
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

Tv is something you should never ever buy on other peoples opinions or without seeing it in person. You should really go around in stores and see what kind of tvs they have on display. All big shops should have their online site with prices and availabe items so you can check there what models they have. Every person experiences picture in different way so you should really decide for yourself.

Buy the R model of the Samsung instead of the S model, if you decide on buying the Samsung.

I hate LG, cheap crap IMO but go with what you can afford. I'd find a mdoel from each that you like and want to fight for then look up reviews on each one.

7000:1 dynamic contrast, aka 1000:1 real contrast samsung always show their dynamic contrast, LG show the real contrast, and LG certainly isnt crap...

I'm thinking of buying one too, anyone heard of Hanspree LCD's?
They're really cheap, and the overall opinion is that they're fairly good, but i think the contrast is rather low (i think it's 1500:1)

only prob with looking in store is you don't get to play around with the picture settings and other factors can also affect your viewing
plenty of good info on web, avforums.com is a good resource..
my own opinion is samsung, the r87/8 is a nice set if that hasn't been replaced
if going for 40"+ i'd be looking for 1080p these days, otherwise i'd be going for 100hz. Seen some great offers on 1080p sets, their prices are dropping..

nouse I've looked at some similar models here, and I want to ask you sth: In the reviews is says that it has HDMI, and other connectors, and PC. What is that? DVI? I'm thinking of buying one, but it would also be monitor...

I have a LG 42 " LCD FullHD 1080p, an i tell you, it is without a doubt fucking beautiful, unless you own one, an have it sitting in your room, watching 720p or full 1080p movie's, or played any type of DX10 game, or atleast graphically intense, and have atleast bought one, or bought an returned it due to person opinion's, then you really can't bad mouth it, probably the best purchase i've ever made.

the PC input is just vga 15-pin .... mine has 3 HMDI inputs, so one for HTPC (with a dvi to HDMI adapter), one for DVD and one for the cable box.
oh, and the picture quality was great right out of the box ... the place I got it from has no-questions 30 day refund so I was prepared to return it if PQ was shitty for Standard Def, but to my surprise it actually looks pretty decent.
but seriously, having a HDTV >>>>>>>>> everything else, so I would really be surprised if you bought one and were disappointed
I thought about getting 1080p, but I realized I can't keep up with the gaming hardware at native resolution (1920x1080) so there was really no point since I'd rather run games at the native res...

neither lol, as 40" is generally considered the minimum to make 1080p worthwhile ..
actually that considered i'd prolly go with the 40"..

I guess it also depends on how far away you're planning to sit from the screen?
