WTF! Why isn't Battlefield on the that list! BHA HUMBUG!
Or Farcry/Crysis for that matter  Not maybe a true franchise yet, but I bet it will be

cause both of em suck  and neither of them are sequels or prequels of each other. |

I had to choose GTA. As ive said in previous posts, the game is just pure fun. It only got repetetive AFTER i had played it for 4 months solid on the playstation, then, again with number two, and again with London etc.
Then, GTA3 on the PS2, wow, i don't think i know a single person who played this game and didn't love it and want its e-babies 
Its the only series which has stayed true to itself throughout, amazing graphics for its time every time, huuuuuuge open levels, great humor, violence, addicting as hell gameplay. I just love stealing a car, riding around like a crazy man running everyone over, getting chased by the army etc. Its just an awesome game.
Cant wait for #4 , San Andreas with its "black ghetto" theme was excellent and pulled me right in from the get go, im a huge fan of hip hop too so the soundtrack of 90's rap really helped.
Its just such an amazing experience, and one that i feel only Rockstar and the "we are gonna bring it out how we want so STFU mentality" can pull off, its great.

Favorite franchise is without doubt Civilization. SimCity franchise is also good (favorite sim...that is if you completely ignore the existence of societies), as is Fallout (favorite rpg) and Carmageddon (favorite "racing"). Of those on the list GTA is the only one worth mentioning (which is my favorite in that genre)

its impossible to satisfy everyone cos that many franchises exist. If i had to pick 3, id say GTA, Half Life, and C+C.

I left classic off cause their too bad ass to be judged  cnc, warcraft, age of empires etc, dos shooters
also theres a limit on the poll, I had others ready to go but you can only have so many options :\ |

haha nah, I actually hate half those games in the list. GTA, Half Life, Need For speed, (the new ghost recons), I hate most of the sports games except NHL |
