					| ive played freelancer, i liked it so id recommend that one
side note... did anyone think freelancer ended really abruptly, like it was planned to be continued in a sequel? was a sequel planned but freelancer did so poorly that they cancelled it? was weird, because at the time i was looking forward to a sequel because the first one felt really unfinished with an open ending...

Not a spectacular one, but it may fill the void.

					| So a sandbox type of game? Well there are many gta-clones out, some bad some good. Too bad Saint's Row never came to pc, because that was a really good one.
Anyways you might check out Vampire: Bloodlines, as it is pretty free and open to an extent, tho it does have some rpg elements.

Besides that Crysis to me seems like a sandbox type game-I've spent many a hour just exploring and playing around in the environment. Of course you need top-end specs for that one..

Also looking forward to Mercs 2. Part 1 was great, tho kinda limited in what you did so got repetitious, but looks like Mercs 2 is shaping up to be a blast.

That game was buggy as hell, when I was practicing firearms with some black dude it always said failed no matter if I did do what he told me to do or didn't.

					| Scarface was good for a few hours of fun. I liked some features in that game quite a bit. Mainly the limo and the ability to have a crony drop off a car from your garage whenever you needed it. The game eventually got insanely boring though with the drug missions.

					| I swear half the people on here don't know how to read lol. It's read title and nothing else.
Dark Messiah is an RPG to some extent, is not a sandbox game, nor can you choose missions.

But then you level up masturbating skills so that's considered an RPG
