I can't imagine that they'll be fucking up the game like DX2. I mean, it's common knowledge that game sucked. I'm sure they'll have learned from that. And apart from that, of course it'll be multi-platform, but as long as the game shows the same gameplay dynamics as Deus Ex1 I won't mind. It was the story and the freedom of choice which made that game so wonderful, and thats 2 things which can be achieved regardless of the platform.

It doesn't matter what the fans think, never has never will. Peopel are brainwashed by media. And it's dumbasses like this that give developers a reason to fuck up. It doesn't matter how much the game sucks or how bad they screwed it up, it's all about hype and money.

Media gives good reviews, people go happy diddly over the hype media dishes out, people buy game, developers win.

bit disappointed its multi platform , Majority of the time I think gameplay suffers when they cater to the console crowd...

Might reinstall Deus ex again and give it another run through , been a good few years now

There are hardly any highly anticipated PC exclusive games coming out, might aswell get used to it.

Seems like everyone is totally blue about Deus Ex 3 in development, personally I think it's a great thing that they're continuing it, since there are many speculations and such you can have about the story that follows from Deus Ex 2, it's almost like as if whatever you do, you alter the course of the story, sadly Deus Ex 2 didn't feel as immersive as Deus Ex 1 did, but oh well, keep it coming!

Is Warren Spector working on this one? I suppose that isn't going to make it great though. He did help with invisible war right?

I really wish i could be excited for this, but i would rather they don't make another one. The game industry is becoming more and more like hollywood. They can't do a sequel / remake right!!! I remember when each new version of a game was actually better. Like Mario Vs Mario 3 or Mario 3 Vs Super Mario World - bad examples but they work...

Deus Ex 2 had a story?

Wow.

Sorry, maybe it got better later on, but... all I can remember is lame physics and cramped hallways and not really using my brain at all like on the original. In other words, another awesome franchise turned mindless shooter trash for the console crowd.

Anyways they do actually at least mention the first in some of the news, so who knows? But not holding my breath for another classic, that's for damned sure.

No.... he's not working on this one, it's the first where he's not "supervising".

After DE2 I don't know if it's good or bad news actually...

There are so many messages hidden in that teaser.
There's a date in there.

They also used the Deus Ex 1 music.

Today I talked with a few Eidos Montreal buddies of mine and they base the game on the first Deus Ex. I'm talking about gameplay here. That was quite a good news. They also told me they can tech out some fucking amazing things with their engine and middleware.

the Montreal Game Summit is a good occasion for us to share some cool secrets. Razz
Based on what they told me, this Deus Ex should definitely be better than IW.

Note to self: come up with a good sig.

consider last I heard they were a bunch of fresh kids out of school, the original director isn't going to be supervising. It's going to suck, plain and simple. Especially since it's multiplatforming.

Another dumbed down game by a company that can't do shit. Wouldn't surprise me if they use the same engine they used on invisible war

Wow...so, do you whine and bitch professionally, or are you just a really skilled amateur?

Consoles have, like AIDS or CANCER in the human body, become an ugly malignancy on game development, killing innovation and complexity.

Riiiiiight...unlike PCs, which have the same shitty FPSes and RTSes with tiny changes, year in and year out.

There is just as much, if not more innovation in console games, as there is in PC games. Many PC gamers are just too vain, conceited, ignorant, and stupid to realize it.
