 Spoiler:

Directed by

Ethan & Joel Coen.

Plot:
Based on the acclaimed novel by Pulitzer Prize winning American master Cormac McCarthy. The time is our own, when rustlers have given way to drug- runners and small towns have become free-fire zones. The story begins when Llewelyn Moss (BROLIN) finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men. A load of heroin and two million dollars in cash are still in the back. When Moss takes the money, he sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that not even the law - in the person of aging, disillusioned Sheriff Bell (JONES) - can contain. As Moss tries to evade his pursuers - in particular a mysterious mastermind who flips coins for human lives (BARDEM) - the film simultaneously strips down the American crime drama and broadens its concerns to encompass themes as ancient as the Bible and as bloodily contemporary as this morning’s headlines.

Starring:

Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones. Woody Harrelson, and Javier Bardem.

This movie was different..very different. I couldn't believe half of what went on, you feel it's like a REAL event taking place. This wasn't the hero trying to save the world or none of that shit, just 2 men playing cat and mouse with both of them knowing how each other works.

the car scene at the end had me laughing. No way was that gonna be how it ended.

No.Country.For.Old.Men.READNFO.DVDScr.XViD-BaLD

"READNFO because DoNE already has a DVDSCREENER out but this is from a different (clean) source but with a different AR. Ours is 16:9 where as DoNE's was 2.35:1. See the pic in Proof folder (DoNE's rip is the top video frame) to see that our source isn't just cropped from a 2.35:1 version and has more video frame on the top and bottom when compared to DoNE's but has a little cropped of the left and right edges."

I didn't watch the previous release with the blurred serials, too distracting for me. Hopefully this is better Smile

I just loved Chigurh, great character. And Bardem did a really good job.

The first third or so of the movie, he´s just haunting, with his quiet ruthlessness.

Why 1980 for the book/film when it was written in 2005? Could it be it was begun then and the author simply chose not to update it? What is the reason? Must be one. Might be nothing more than the author started this 25 years ago and didn’t feel like updating it to present times.

Great movie but there is no need to watch it again on HD.

It ain't a special effects movie.

It's just much more of an experience watching anything in HD really, imo. Special effects or not.
