Hi everydoby...

Well, my problem is not yet solved: I've downloaded the UNSIGNED version of Star Wars Battlefront for Xbox by DNL. The game is running perfectly on my friend modded Xbox (new modchip) but on mine, it freezes at my Evox loading screen.

I guess I got to patch the default.xbe, or to get an already patched one and then, recreate my iso. But I don't find a mean to get this default.xbe to be patched.

Can someone help me?

Thank you so much!

Polgara.

Use PBL to load a new bios.

It will lead a Bios from the hard Disk (BFM Bios) and then it will allow you to boot newer games and stuff that older modchips cant.

you can get PBL from #xbins on Efnet.

InSaNe,
I must admit that this solution looks a little bit too technical for me :S I just don't know how to dld this program and the explanations on how it works are not clear enough to me.

Maybe a short sumary (you can PM me) would help me to clarify this solution.

Thank you for your time you spend giving me this solution Very Happy

Go to Xbins

http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php

Download the latest X2 Bios from here -

/XBOX/bios/bootable from media/hacked/x2/

download PBl from here -

/XBOX/bios/bios tools/Phoenix Bios Loader/

Extract each of them.

But the X" bios (06 if there are 2) in the "bios" folder on PBL.

FTP PBL over to your Xbox (in the E: / F: Apps if you have it so Evox / Ava / MXM etc pick it up)

Reboot / Run PBL and select the bios you wish to load.

You will have to load the bios each time you reboot of course, but its cheaper than a new modchip Smile

I assume you have the enigmah chip (like I have), well... forget about flashing as that's not possible. Instead do this:

Download a freeware program called "dexbe" and "qwix" (search them with google).

With qwix you need to extract the iso, after that start up dexbe and patch the "default.xbe" from default to retail (patching can also be done with qwix, but it just does a basic patch and unfortunately that doesn't work all the time, expecially not with the latest games).

Re-build the iso with qwix and burn with your favourite tool, all games work with this (beta and unsigned games).

Good luck.

I've got the old extender chip and have problems with some games. I have used xISO in the past to patch the default.xbe which works pretty well. Is there any programmes out there that can detect if the xbe is in debug or retail and tell you without me having to burn the iso off first and wasting so many disks?

cheers

Salseros,

Looks even easier Wink I've no time to test it right now, but I'll come here and post a reply as soon as I'll have tested it.
