Robert Neville is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable and manmade. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. But he is not alone. He is surrounded by "the Infected"—victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. All the while, the Infected lurk in the shadows, watching Neville's every move, waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But his blood is also what The Infected hunt, and Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time.
Well looks alright I suppose, but still "hollywood" screams all over the above trailer... But what the hell its a post apocalyptic tale and hell thats always fun.

yeah i think will smith has grown a hell of a lot as an actor, and while i used to write-off anything he was attached too as loud dumb fun, these days im willing to hope for something really good from the guy...the trailer looks interesting enough so yeah im looking forward too it (well i have been for the past few months but the trailer, if anything, made me look forward too it even more)
Because the book is so short hopefully they won't have to miss much out.

Yeah that was based on the book, although they changed alot of details. Lets hope they don't for the new adaptation.

Know about the movie since it was in pre-production.It's going to be a "HELL NO!" Smith movie, the original screenplay was good, but Akiva Goldsman did a hack job on it and now Richard Matheson's cult book will be trashed by hollywood gimmick.
It'll be a good popcorn movie at best,other than that...grad A shit.
There is no Ben Cortman...(for those who know what i am talking about)
yeah ignore ignore that i used the word trailer, and focus on the other stuff... is it massively different, or do we see loads of action and what the creatures look like etc, or is it still trying to be very mysterious and not show too much.
2 things to say. 1: i really like will smith lately, hes definately growing into a very talented actor, and you cant say that about most of em. i mean he used to just be 'popular' which is why he made it into so many films, but i gotta say, hes really matured a hell of a lot. 2: film looks great.. i saw several shots that looked so incredibly stylishly well done... not saying this is an oscar contender by any stretch, but definately a film to look forward too.
I know. Trailers have gotten a lot better as of late. I'm really really really pumped into seeing this. The whole last man on earth is not alone bit is so fucking corny and all, but ffs... it didn't ruin this trailer
