@Mortibus- yeah- it might look a bit messy and dusty but hey... it's just a small room in a living community for students so i had to mount lots of shelves to put my stuff in. I'm so glad that the Samy can handle fullhd via vga and also dvi/hdmi.... I'm afraid my presantation display ~40lcd LG is going to be obsolete....hm
Do you also use your LCD as a monitor replacement?

at first it took me a bit to adjust to the 52 inch screen.... now i think that i could have alternatively layed my hands on a bigger display, but that was out of the question regarding the amount of bucks you have to spend extra for e.g. 60 inces up/
i spent enough money on my htpc setup recently (quad/gtx)....If my girlfriend knew how much € i spent on pc hardware she ... no, i will not imagine what she would do...... it's aking in advance Very Happy

No they don't, that's just what the LCD manufacturers want you to believe...
PLasma uses indeed alot more energie when showing bright white but the dzrker the scenes the lower the power consumption will be.
LCD however uses a constant power consumption that will be close to the average consumption of a plasma when watching a movie

Well i have HDMI PS3 , HDMI LCD TV , but no hdmi cable Razz
Well i could use D-sub - D-sub to plug my LCD TV to my PC but the picture would lose on quality (it would be still analog duh ),
Now i am looking for a converter DVi - Hdmi + 5-10 m of Hdmi-Hdmi cable

so in one move i will complete two tasks :
get that Hmdi cable for PS3
get that converter to plug it also to the PC

then the only thing missing will be a wire less keyboard Razz
