hydrogen powered cars are still damn ultra expensive that only ppl like JL can afford

biodiesel is much much cheaper or electric cars, but none of it happens till oil gets depleted completely, coz those bastard won't let it flow just like that

the biggest problem i see with hydrogen is that while the exhaust is eco-friendly, the production of h2 isnt necessarily. There are ways to make it in eco-friendly or non-polluting ways, but usually it s just done by using electricity which is produced by burning (fossil) fuels or nuclear energy, so you re still stuck with polluting the environment (if you dont balance it out by using renewable energy-sources). For example there are bacteria that can break down water into h2 and 0xygen, but afaik it isnt too great for industrial sized production of it.

didint a team of MIT kids make a car that ran on water and or water vapour in the 70's or 80's? anyone else remember hearing something about this? Then supposedly GM bought it from them and thats the last that was heard of the water fueled car....

I swear I remember reading something about kids from some school in Cali that made a car run on water

suppose thats possible.. however electrolysis is a pretty inneficient way to get hydrogen from water aint it ??

I mean i guess it can be semi clean (i mean 80% of our power in this country comes from hydro power) but if ur burning fossil fuels to create hydrogen then its just a big roundabout...

Imagine how much even more of a shithole the middle east will be when the oil runs out *giggle*
