My apoligies for taking precious forum space for this question , but i want to be completely sure about this.

Going to get the following mainboard from MSI

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130119

here is the link to the compatibility list of the zalman cooler i plan to purchase along with it

http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/cooler/9500AM2_eng.html

Now on the list i see that K9AGM is compatible... but i dont see K9AG on it....

I hope someone has the same setup or know someone who does and could clear up if its compatible , would hate to go with a non zalman cooler , since i am a happy user of them for many years.

thank you in advance

The MSI MSI K9AG Neo2-Digital is an ATX board and for the most part it is well laid out. It is slightly smaller than the usual ATX board, needing only 6 motherboard screws as opposed to the typical nine. We tested the board with our two favorite AM2 coolers, the Zalman CNPS 9500 and the Thermaltake Big Typhoon. Neither cooler posed any problems with clearance with our Corsair ProSeries memory. Some of the KZJ capacitors between the rear IO and the CPU socket are kind of close, so depending if your cooler tends to flare out in that direction, it may pose some problems.

alright thanks Smile

Going to get the following system , i think its the BEST price / performance out there now.

AMD x2 6000 EE
Powercolor HD3870 OC edition
4GB GSKILL DDR2 6400

Dunno if its good or sad that current state of the art hardware like the cpu and ram has gone down in price that much that my zalman PSU will be the same price then the CPU and more expensive then the ram ....

My current system was back then ....

3500 for 270 dollar
1gb tddc ram for 240
and x800xt for 470

cant imagine spending that much on a rig today .

Don't go with XP 64bit, if you want to go 64Bit get Vista 64Bit, if you wish to stick with XP, get 32Bit version I reccomend, XP 64Bit is considerably buggy I've heard...

yea i know the 64bit xp is basicly windows server xpfied , specially with SP3 comming out for 32 bit xp wich will improve dual core systems performance up to 10% , i will probably stick with 32 bit till the follow up on vista is out .
