I also liked how in the book he kept drinking to drown his depression and he was basically a drunk. Also in the book he didn't care about such things as shaving so he had a full beard. In this movie Smith is seen working out and keeping a fit body while Neville in the book didn't care cause it didn't matter. I also liked when the vampires taunted him they used women to try to get his attention since he's been so lonely for so long.

I actually went out to the library after watching the movie, the book is quite old but some of the aspects are more thought out, like the parts where he can't watch through the peephole outside because the infected women all pose in sexually offensive positions to try and lure him out. In the movie they don't even know where he lives...

Also the taunting of his neighbour should have been in the movie, yelling "Come out, Neville" every night.. Makes you want to blow your brains out.

I liked it very much, but it's too short. The only horror scene was that one where the dog ran in the dark tunnel and maybe the one where Robert is hitting them with the car.

I think there will be a extended version out soon.

yep throw me down for hoping theres a directors cut, but i doubt it has the stuff i want in it...

i dont need more of the present day stuff, i want more back-story... stuff set in the past around the outbreak and the first year after the event... thats what id want, but i doubt they cut out 30 minutes of that... if they HAD, then fuck, id love to see that.

There is a series of animated graphic novels online that serve as a prequel to I Am Legend. I think you can find them on quicktime.com or the movie's website.

I think that in this case the remake is better than the original. Shocked Omega Man is a movie from/for a different time period. All that 'renounce technology' credo doesn't fit into the current era. Even having Heston run around shirtless is such a 70s thing. Razz Plus Will Smith is a much much better actor than him.

When I try to watch the movie (IMBT Repack), I get the following message:

"Warning: Unable to process video please get the correct code from: http://blablabla.net"

But that site only gets me on a porn site - any ideas which codec I am missing?

Thanks!

VLC did not work either...

BTW, the message comes in the move player directly (i.e. like recorded), so maybe I need to get the proper release and not the repack? Strange since the proper is nuked and the repack not?

dez, u probably downloaded a fake pretending to be the repack, that'd be the only reason its not working.

well the other answer would be that ur rubbish at piracy and should quit now, but lets hope that its the first solution Razz

True but it is generally so that the further you go back in time, the cornier the movies become. Might check out The Last Man though.

agreed the trap was lame...not that he got caught, but the fact that it even existed.

i didnt mind the defences not lasting.. i mean he obviously never built or planned them with a full on attack from so many infected at ONE time... its totally reasonable to theyd get in pretty quickly, however i did think it was pretty retarded that the alpha dude got in upstairs in like 10 seconds... that bit was retarded... but still.. it was a pretty sweet sequence.

bring on the 1080p uncut release!!!!

doubt any defences would stop a rampaging mob of mutant supercreatures. The point being, he never let them discover where he lived, it was that daft Shaz bird that led them to his gaff

Well the thing i found lame was the ending. The Girl comes at that camp that is protected against the monsters by ah big wall. WTF, they can easely get over that wall Sad Or did i miss something Confused

the infected arent super powered or anything, they cant leap 20 feet in the air or anything to get over the wall.. plus, its in the middle of nowhere it looked like... nowhere for the infected to hide during the day, the forrest wouldnt provide enough cover, so there'd be no way or reason for them to travel and 'accidentlly' come across that place regardless of whether or not they could get inside... so yeah, realistically having a lone town in the middle of nowhere is quite reasonable i think, especially when theres a few really 'silly' moments in the film that are more worthy of ridicule Wink

thats why this plague would never kill off all humans, theres too many isolated places where they wouldnt be able to live... only in big cities and towns would u really find any id imagine.

-----------

whats REALLY lame is how she FOUND the place... its like.. yeah lets go this way... hey whats that... oh look its the last city on earth... thats convenient... AND its even in driving range... sweet...

the ending just feels so tacked on, like 'gee.. how are we gonna end this without putting too much effort or thought into it...
