A friend searched activex and downloaded a file from Google and executed it accidentally.
Ever since then the computer has come to a halt. IE loads slow, and Outlook doesn't load.
It wont give proper admin rights and wont let IE6 browse web sites.

I've used adaware in safe mode and it found nothing.
I've used Mcaffee and nod32, it found nothing.
I've tried disabling BHO's through IE7 however it wont let me.
BHO demon wont install as it tries to download a definition file on first load (unsuccessful).

The computer boots with minimal applications. I personally think its the BHO's in IE6 giving the problem (I may be wrong) tho I cant see a way to disable them? are there any other similar applications like BHO demon?

If you think it's something else I'm open to suggestions! Smile

Yeah tried that; for some reason the virus restricted the admin account and it was more or less impossible to get back so just made another accunt and removed all suspicious files! Smile
